Richo's last chance will probably be this year if he can stay relatively injury free as he did in 2008 and we win around 13-14 games.

As everyone else said, Lids and Cotch are all class and will be contenders over the next decade.

Lids Cotch and as a smokey Kelvin Moore does a great job in the backline and gets plenty of marks and stats. Nevertheless logic says it will be a midfielder however in this day and age and the statistics prove it over the last 10 or so years.

I would have loved to pick Shane Tuck but I don't think he comes under the eye of the umpirer's.

You guys just might end up chewing on those words.  I just watched a replay of last year's game v Brisbane and it reminded me of how good a game Tambling played so I went looking at some stats and up popped a very interesting one re: Tambling in his 'best' games - they almost always tend to be against the best opposition.

In 2006 his 4 best games were 23 disp v Geelong (10th and building to '07 flag), 19 v West Coast (1st), 18 v Port Adelaide (12th and building to '07 Runner-up) and 15 v Collingwood (5th).
In 2007 his 4 best games were 20 disp v Geelong (1st), 19 v Collingwood (Prelim Finalist), 18 v Kangaroos (Prelim Finalist) and 18 v West Coast (3rd/Semi Finalist).
In 2008 his 4 best games were 27 disp v Brisbane (10th), 24 v Geelong (Runner-up), 23 v Bulldogs (Prelim Finalist) and 19 v Adelaide (5th).

Suggests he steps up when on the big stage and he might not ever win Charlie but I'm tipping he would be a fair chance for our next Norm Smith.

The stats above and his overall stats for the last few years suggest a young player who is still developing and maturing as a player.  Until his performance and stats starts to even out then it is too early to judge him fairly as a player.  At the moment we have a young player who is still on the up with some very good AFL performances along the way.

Tambo = potential plus   still developing   
great leader and ambassador for the club on and off the field
 needs to produce his best on a more regular and consistant basis
no longer living in the shadow of "should have picked buddy instead"
 has to make his position on the field his own to get the best out of himself
 will thrive under the competitive nature of our team this season for game day selection
just needs to remain fit (please no OP)
