Further improvement

WOuld like to see him play a little in the mid field for centre bounce clearances in particular

One thing I reckon he needs to improve is his goal conversion - missed some "gimmes" in 2008

16-20 games for mine

I like him as a player.

He should clock up his 50th match this season. I actually couldn't believe he has already played 32 for us.

And you may not think I care for you

Good little gutsy player, still spewing in that Geebung game where he was having his best game ever IMO before he was made to get acquainted with the turf head on.

Like most of our side being young and developing, would just like to see further improvement on past years.  And as WP said his goal kicking, I think he got the jitters in 2008 and didn't look comfortable at all going for goals.

I really like young Shane. Far too small last year..... remember when he was milburned?.... but gutsy and can have some real freakish patches. He seems to have bulked up a bit though - at last!

I too rate shane, is brave, loves a dash and seems to win a decent share of the footy...he would only have averaged 50-60% game time so his possie count is respectable...Needs to imprve some more, i noticed he looks to have strenghtened up which he needed to ...his kicking for goal could improve to, was unnecessarily tardy at times , he'll be right :thumbsup

Mine too.

Love Shane's intensity.
Just needs a bit more polish & muscle and he will be a 200 game player.

He's sneaking under the radar a little & I am looking forward to seeing what he offers in '09. :thumbsup

One of my favs he will do the unthinkable at one stage of his career. It may be a imposible goal or unbelievable mark. He is IMO that kind of player. Will get better and better. ;)

Another 16+ games in 2009 (barring injury) and to continue the trend of getting more gametime and more of the footy. Pushing into the midfield will help there. Hopefully Edwards is now a little wiser when and where to use to his natural endurance and not waste his energy. I agree with WP that he needs to improve his goalkicking both in conversion and over a longer range.

I nominated him as my favourite player player with my membership. Don't know why but really liked him from the moment we drafted him. Even before I saw him play.

Shane was one of those expected to improve this year. What did we all think of his game?

Solid. Showed more than last year. Still has a way to go. Will improve as the season progresses. Very happy ATM. Looks like a "keeper".

Very impressed with his game, MT had talked him up a bit and I can see why now.

Looks very confident and very good decision making skills in last nights game.

Excited by his performance.
