This is legit. The leading contender for the GC17 theme song as played on Ch 10 news tonight.

Oh dear. Sounds like a really bad 80s arcade game soundtrack :rollin.

LOL MT it sure does! I was waiting for Mario Bros or Donkey Kong to come dashing across the screen. I think there's a hint of Porno keyboard melody in it too.  :lol

I guess Port and Freo will love it as it will get them off the bottom of the ladder of theme songs.  :scream

Rather than equating that to sounding like an 80's video game I thought it sounded like an awfully bad B grade American TV show theme.
Hopefully they play as crap as that song and we will be spared them belting it out after a win. I know I'd be embarrased to kroon along to that. :lol

I still find it pretty amazing that they were allowed to wear red yellow and blue given how close it will be to Lions gear in shops. A local derby up here and one team will be wearing a change strip.

Should have used colours such as

Light blue/yellow.
Green/White

 :o :o :rollin :rollin

It takes me back to the 1980 Olympics and the song "Moscow Moscow" by Genghis Khan

"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

from the song "Don't Walk Away" by Pat Benatar 1988 (Wide Awake In Dreamland)

OMG WP! Now there is a blast from the past. When I was a kid, I remember we used to sing our own english translated version of that song...

"Moscow, Moscow, If you do not like it here, you can stick it up your rear, oh hohohoho HEY!
Moscow, Moscow, We invaded Afghanistan, Carter is a naughty man, oh hohohoho HEY"  :lol

Well it was a lot easier than trying to sing the Russian lyrics. lol Everyone would go..."MOSCOW, MOSCOW.....da da dada dada da, hm hm hmhm hm hm hm, oh hohohoho HEY!..... :lol

But everyone could do the "oi" bit at the end, no need for translation there  :rollin

:lol

They do have many pools up there to keep clean lol.

The lyrics sounds like they've take bits from the Port and Freo songs  :wallywink. "Fight fight fight until we take out the flag" sounds very much like Port's "we're never gonna stop stop stop until we're top top top". Tragic  :rollin.

Ummm I don't think so.  First time I've ever heard of it and that was only coming thru OER.  I think most people on the Coast wouldnt' have heard of it either.  Simply terrible.  Up there with Port & Freo.

Might be a chance for GC residents to revive the 1980s bumper sticker, Julz.
Just cut Oakley off the end so it reads "Up yours Ross".
