Ex-Tiger Blumfield interviewed by Bombers
« on: September 15, 2004, 04:31:47 PM »
You will find that ex-tiger Justin Blumfield was interviewed by the bombers on Monday. Even though he has been delisted, for him to get to the club of his choice, there will need to be something coming back in return.
Bombers are keen to get him back on min paymentsm interesting to see what hack the offer in return ;)

Maybe we can put him together with Ty Zantuck as a package deal.

Remember the Dons were paying part of Blumfield's contract  :). The trade could end up being a 3-way trade with the Dogs included.

If he has been Delisted there can be no trade , they can pick him up in either the Nat or PS Draft..

Yeah but if he wants to go back to the Bombers,he takes the risk of someone else picking him up before the Bombers have there choice eg Fremantle  etc and Justin wouldnt like that ;)

That's what I mistakenly thought HB but Miller has said Blumfield hasn't been delisted.

We are oging to delist Blumfield anyway so doesnt really matter who we trade him for.  THey are not going to give us much, they are going to get rid of Hunt, he ha a bit of height and has played a bit in the backlines.  We could do worse.  We cant expect too much.  Either that or a late draft pick.

I would take the late pick over a delisted player.

Isn't it strange how the Bombers got rid of Blumfield in the first place?  Do you think that Blumfield ever really settled down at Punt Road?

Anything we get for Blumfield is a bonus - the guy's been a total dud!

I remember hearing when we first got him that he was not happy about being shafted to Richmond.
