Tips for a "star struck" Tiger fan
« on: February 09, 2009, 04:42:10 PM »
As a Perth based Richmond supporter I am very excited to be attending the cocktail party at Burswood Casino on friday.Im even allowing my Freo docker supporting wife to come along too(but only if she keeps her matthew pavlich loving mouth shut).
I have never been up close and personal with the players before but desperate to get autographs ,photos ,Pictures signed etc.Anything to turn my office into a shrine to the RFC.
Would appreciate any tips regarding etiquette when approaching players...what they like/hate.
Cheers.

Just be polite and not pushy as you would with anyone. Most players are happy to sign an autograph and have a pic taken (especially if it's with or for a kid). Keep things to sign to a minimum otherwise you'll come across as an ebayer. There's always the brief footy smalltalk about how preseason has been going and wishing them the best for the year.

ps. Cuz doesn't do photos.

pps. Don't tell Rainesy he looks like his dad. I would say he's heard that one or two million times before lol

Have fun mat073, I should have gone to that as well, I will try to catch a mid year game.
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Matt if you go up to Cuz and whisper in his ear that you are a mate of "Burl's", a rare photo opportunity might be forthcoming.  ;) Just don't get him to sign a copy of Cleo magazine or say you are a mate of Damina Barrett's.  :lol

Went to the function tonight and had an awesome time.Got my photo taken with Richo ,Nathan Foley,Graham Polak and Trent Cotchin.
I brought some photos from home and Richo and Ben were happy to sign them.

No sign of Burls unfortunatly.

Had a fantastic night and looking forward to going to the game on Sunday.
