I believe in Richie.
« on: February 09, 2009, 11:56:57 PM »
I know Richard is a controversial subject for some people.
Some people question his ability. Some blame the club for not picking you know who.
Lets just forget for one moment about all the buddy comparison talk and see how Bling compares to other pick 4s.

2000: luke livingston.Carlton played 46 games before being delisted.
2001: Graham Polak...106 games.Traded by Freo
2002: Tim Walsh.Western Bulldogs. Played one game.
2003: Farren Ray.Western Bulldogs.Traded to st kilda played 75 games.
2004: Richie.Played 75 games so far.
2005: Josh Kennedy.Carlton.Now at WCE 29 games
2006:Matthew Leuenberger.Brisbane 19 games.

Ofcourse there was the "Godfather" of pick 4s in 1999 with Matthew Pavlich.
While Bling is no Pav he does campare favorably to the other pick 4s.Some of which have been real duds.
I cant wait to see how Tambling goes in a good Richmond team this year.

Good stuff Mat073, glad you're a believer.

I said it before about Richie on another post and that is his stats are constantly improving and until those stats level out we cant judge him properly yet.

ATM we have a young, developing, constantly improving young player.
