Summary
* Bushfire initiative - we did it for the first time for the tsunami appeal. In the scale of things it's only a small gesture but it was an opportunity to raise money for the bushfire appeal. The least we could do.
* Cousins - been great. He's been such a successful player with the Brownlow, premiership and B&Fs so he's going to add such great knowledge around the club. That great experience of playing in winning cultures so it's going to be a huge benefit having him around the club. Our membership is up thanks to the way we finished off last year and Ben coming on board. We've had a number of Western Australians join up. We've definitely received a heap of exposure as a result which has been good for the club.
Wow, the standard Cousins question came second this time...the interviewers obviously keen to show their sensitive side first by asking about the contribution to the Bushfire appeal.
I'd love for one of the players to have a play with the standard Cousins question next time it comes up:
"Yeah, that Cousins bloke has been here 5 minutes and already thinks he's top dog. He prances around like his poo doesn't stink. He turns up stoned one day and high the next. He's trying to pedal his stuff off to the young guys. Shocking recruitment decision by the club really."
That would shock them
