Terry on SEN
« on: February 12, 2009, 04:45:14 PM »
Players met on Monday and wanted to do their bit for the Bushfire victims. Couple of players have gone to Whittlesea today.

Cogs - State of mind is remarkably good, said it's the best knee injury he's ever had. A little nick in his medial cartlidge, operation is done and club doctor says it looks good. 3 week injury, a week off his legs.

Terrys pre-season - Special with the Cousins thing adding spark. The community aspect of people getting behind him.

Frances Leach asked if these young guys will make an impact - Hughes, JoN and Tambling. Cleve and Jarrod in system 3 years now. Richie took a reasonable step last year, there is an expectation on our high picks, they were picked high for a reason.

Nahas - Will play against Freo, restricted ground time, had groin problem when we got him.

Post - He'll play, has shown good form. Give 2,3 or opportunities to youngsters in NAB.

Shane Edwards - Terry's pick for young player to watch. He has taken the greatest steps.

Tyrone - Will play 2nd and 3rd rounds of NAB, large ground is too much for the young guy.

Good to see Wallace applying some heat to these three.
Hughes and JON particularly need vastly improved seasons to justify their spots next season.

Cheers for that wayne  :cheers

Good to hear all the cubs will get a go through the preseason.

Good on them  :clapping. I've also heard the players have all signed a surfboard and have put it up for auction (first bid was $2000).

Have to agree with Plough based on Shane's form in the intraclub. Likewise Whitey.

In the Herald-Sun today:  :)

"five-year-old J'den Ellery of Healesville finally gets to laugh with the help of a visit from Richmond footballers Brett Deledio, Nathan Foley and Kelvin Moore."
