Robbo excited about Richmond
« on: February 23, 2009, 01:46:07 PM »
Robbo's on SEN praising Richmond.

* Richmond are exciting. Cousins to play on Thursday night,  expectations down there are big, and an amazing 9000 at the family day is massive. NRL clubs would be happy to get that at their games.

* Robbo reckons there'll be 45k on Thursday night. Lots of Tiger supporters he knows in the country are all coming down to see the game.

* He liked how Wallace said yesterday we are now demanding finals not just hoping like in previous years.

* Robbo is feverish about most Victorian teams. He has 7 in his predicted top 8 (and Essendon isn't one of them). Funny how everyone was saying Victorian football was in trouble 3-4 years ago.

* Who says footy is dead and soccer is taking over.

He's not wrong there, 9000 at a Panthers home game would be taken as a very good crowd

Need to get some funds up, never backed Richmond for the 8, this year want to get on a nice plonk before the odds shorten in years to come  :pray 4 figure outlay would be good for some spending money or trips interstate come finals, that's if there are any interstate finals. :lol
9000 - that is just over the top, great stuff  :clapping
200 following Cuz to the bog, over the top or sick, the latter here  :help
I am grateful for what Cuz has bought to Richmond so far, just getting a bit sick of it all myself atm, can happily go to round 1 until I here anymore.
Not gunna happen tho, IS IT  :rollin :banghead

No chance, but toally understand what you mean, just bring on the footy.

LOL at Ox's new name, not sure if he has trademarked the new name in total or just the brackets part of it though, the comma brings that into question.

The excitment and anticipation is reaching feverpitch at the moment with supporters and media alike. Opposition supporters will be coming to see the Tigers this year no doubt and the Blues game is gearing up to be a sell out!

Crazy considering that neither team made the finals last year. I keep telling myself to be realistic about our 2009 chances but I would rather ride the wave of positivity while it lasts.

If Robbo is jumping on board who else is left - Barrett? Shaw? Thommo?  :o Everyone is joining the Army! :invasion

I'll be waiting for the announcement from Grant Thomas.

If Grant "You don't need ruckmen" Thomas is a good judge I'm the tooth fairy.

I'd rather hear his opinion than some drunk, two bit, self proclaimed expert like 'Robbo'

Mike's been on the bandwagon since the second half of last season  :o. He can see Herald-Sun sales increasing as Richmond sells :whistle.

It must have been hard for Robbo to not have his beloved Bombers in his top 8. I'm sure Rohan will  :wallywink.

No doubt Rohan will. He will go better than that MT and have them top 4 whilst declaring Skipworth as the recruit of the year if not the decade and if 1000000 things go right for the Bombers they will possibly beat Geelong and Hawthorn. Perhaps we should send him a reminder from last year and inform him of where he is in terms of the stage he is at regarding his support of the Bombers. By my count he is at stage 5 Optimism especially with the new season on the horizon and yet to begin and the new Samsung Bomber polos having only been worn for the first time only two weeks ago.
