Great to see Polly named. Hope he gets through okay. I was told today that after the Coburg game he was totally stuffed for a few hours afterwards given he's still experiencing tiredness. He played a lot longer than expected.

Not surprising to see so many new faces as it's the last chance to rest our big guns before the last preseason game on the Gold Coast. Gourdis might be a bit iffy as he was talking to Rawlings today at training about his ankle.

Good to see Putt and Brown named too. I'm interested to see how Putt plays in the forwardline and Brown in the ruck and, more importantly, around the ground.

Hughes is not in the squad again is there an injury here I do not know about? If not this is not a great sign for our touted FF...

Moore is missing so another opportunity for Rance to push for selection. Rance looks like a natural backman, with pace, poise and skill. Hope he gets plenty of opportunity. We are developing a very strong backline now we just need a forwardline  :pray

Interesting to see where JON will played if he is named given his switch to the HFF stuff at stages in training this preseason.

Will be watching with interest how Nahas and Hislop perform.

Saints should do us quite easily in this one, they have a very very strong side, I think there was only a couple (2) names I did not recognise as players that will play in their best 22 this year.

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Yep apart from crybaby they seem to be at full strength for this one. Not that it matters given the young side we'll have and it's only a practice match but it could get ugly on the scoreboard which is a shame for those who go.

from the Herald-Sun...

Graham Polak will return for Richmond, but the Tigers will be without eight of their top 10 in last year's best-and-fairest.

Boom recruit Ben Cousins will also miss the match at Shepparton's Deakin Reserve.

Others to miss are Brett Deledio, Matthew Richardson, Chris Newman, Kelvin Moore, Troy Simmonds, Nathan Foley, Nathan Brown and Kane Johnson.

The Tigers are unsure how long Johnson will be out with a knee complaint and will be guided by the veteran's thoughts.

Richmond football manager Ross Monaghan said the trip to the country had nothing to do with the spate of restings.

Monaghan said the club always planned for key players to miss week three of the pre-season matches.

Hmm put like that the scoreboard could get ugly.  However at least no one will expect us to come close and if we perform well or win it will be a good laugh at the Ainter's expense.

R:  Graham      Tuck      Thomson
Int (from):  Vickery, JON, Silvester, Bowden, Post, Collins, Polak, Browne, Gourdis
