Danish Royal Wedding

Did anyone watch Mary Donaldson marry Prince Fredrik?  What did you think of the wedding dress?  Personally, I thought she looked great but they overdid it with all the red - red flowers, red bridesmaid - even Queen Margrethe was in pinky red.  Let's hope this couple have better luck than their English counterparts.

Thought the wedding was understated - but that makes it a nice wedding for me.

She looked great - good to see the tears in Frederick's eyes - not sure what that meant though lol.

Bridesmaids and flower girls pretty ordinary - could have done better there.  But overall, i thought it was a nice wedding.

Wrecked me for the footy the next day - was falling asleep at the game lol.

LOL   Know what you mean.  I had painters around at 6.30am, son's swimming lesson at 8.30am and daughter's netball game at midday.  Watch the highlights of the wedding again that night but was falling asleep only to be woken up by a crank call wondering if this was the number for phone sex ??? ??? ???

seriously the line "tasmanian commoner to Princess" was almost enough to make a guy chuck.

my wife complains I have not a romantic bone in my body, perhaps she is right

Just watched the highlights of the Spanish Royal Wedding.  What can I say - she's no Mary Donaldson.  The bride, who looked fantastic at the Danish Royal Wedding in a stunning red dress, just looked ok.  Bridesmaid were ghastly.  No overly signs of affection - just a peck on the check so not to mess up the make-up.

So that's where Gwyneth Paltrow got that awful name for her poor baby :o

Thanks WP:  I just love checking out all the fashion.

Here's a bit of Royal Trivia for you all:  Most of the European Crown Princessess all start with M - Metit-Marit from Norway, Maxima from the Netherlands, Mary from Denmark and Marie-Chantal of Greece.  And if you want to know who is probably the best looking single royal female around I'd go for Princess Madeleine from Sweden.
