A good solid win first up. From the commentary on vfllive it sounded as though Collins, Jordie, JON, Nahas and Thursty were the best RFC players. It'll be interesting to hear what WP and others who watched the game live thought.

How did Cogs, Thomson and Connors go?

Also Browne and Patto?

Is Polly alright?

Coburg Tigers: McMahon Horne Clarke Carrick Liddle Collins

I obviously was at a different game ;D

I wouldn't put McMahon in the best as he plays too loose..... his disposal was good most of the time but a couple of turnovers were shockers. To me a player like McMahon (100 odd AFL games etc) should stand out in this competition

I've said it before and I will kee p saying it ...

It isn't about the quantity of possessions but the qulaity of them.

I thought JON was in the best again. He is playing that hit up forward role very very well. And if I had to chose between Jordie & JON at the minute for a senior game becuae you have to pick one of them, I'd take JON in second. Why? Because he will chase, he will tackle he puts pressure on his opponent when he hasn't got the ball

Polly is fine - stirring final qtr from the bloke

Cogs - was solid without being spectacular. He got tagged a fair bit But another good dispaly

Connors - his field kicking was ordinary at times

BrownE - like Cogs solid

Patto - in and out of the game. Needs more matches

Thompson - see Connors re filed kicking....  I now know why he handballs so much

Collins - very very good.. Much improved effort on the last week  :clapping

Nahas - all class at VFL level....

Silvestor - best stuff in the VFL - seriously deserves a chance at AFL level

Thursfield - much better game this week - more intensity shown

Cheers WP  :cheers.

Thomson had the same record at Port. A clearance winner but handballed twice as much than he kicked to compensate for his ordinary foot disposal.

Just one last question - did Collo play mainly as a forward or did he also play in the midfield?

Coughlan hoping for a Richmond recall
Brent Diamond | April 12, 2009

RICHMOND midfielder Mark Coughlan is confident he can get back to his blistering best after impressing for the second successive week in the Coburg Tigers' 15-point win over Frankston at ABD Group Stadium yesterday.

And Tigers defender Graham Polak sent shivers through the Tigers army after copping a heavy knock in a collision with two Dolphin opponents in the first quarter of the match. Polak, who wears a helmet, spent the second quarter on the sidelines before returning to the field after half-time.

Coughlan, who has not played a senior game since round 12, 2006, because of injuries, added a swag of 25 disposals to go with his 41 the previous week. "I think I can get back to (where I was)," Coughlan, 26, said. "I won't know until I really try. It's been three years and the game's really changed."

Jordan McMahon is also in line for a senior recall after a dominant 41-possession game in a running role from defence.

Pocket rocket Robin Nahas booted five goals in the 18.11 (119) to 16.8 (104) win.

The Tigers led at every change, taking a 19-point lead into three-quarter-time before resisting a Frankston charge, with Nahas kicking the sealer from the boundary.

Adam Pattison and former Hawk Tim Clarke were also in the best for the Tigers

Dolphins coach Shannon Grant praised the performance of first-gamer Mark Baguley, Justin Berry, Brett Dore and Aaron Murray up forward.

Id be bringing in Collins and Thomson next week. Collins deserves his chance and whilst Thomsons not a good kick atleast he understands what he can and cant do. Thats why handballs are more numerous than kicks. His tackling and hard ball gets add value - so he needs to come in as well.
