Hope they wait for a Richmond home game before he is brought in after such a long time injured but conversely, they may wish as little fan fair as possible especially given the huge build up and, consequently, equally big fall with Cousins first game/s.

I would prefer to have him play a couple of games for Coburg and display consistent form that leaves the selectors in no doubt that he has earned his place on form regardless of reputation.

I'm looking forward to when Cogs can get 30+ possessions and, more importantly, 10+ tackles in a game for the Tigers. We need his fight and ternacity but there is no need to hurry him back all the same.
Agree Stripes. With Cogs it's not so much what he does at Coburg but that his body shows it can back up and recover from week to week without breaking down again. The test for Cogs when he finally does come back into the side is whether the new pace of the game is something he and his body can handle. He'll be fine at stoppages where the action is close in and tough but it's once the ball free that will show whether he can keep up with AFL again at the level he did before all the injuries. He looks a lot freer in his kicking action at training so fingers crossed  :pray.

Here's the team from Gameday live.  From here it looks like:

In: Coughlan, Tambling
Out: Graham, Edwards

Not sure who'll be our 2nd ruck.

Edit: It looks very similar to the 25 man squad named, though.  It looks like they just guessed.

It would be odd for us to go in with just one ruckman. Looks like they have just chopped off the last 3 on the extended bench - Edwards, Patto and Gus. They've done the same with the doggies 25 to get the 22.

It's almost 6pm and still no finalised teams  ???

Cheers Danog  :). Goohuc was on the money  :clapping. I'm glad we are giving Cogs more time to build up his match fitness as Coburg before bringing him back.

Edwards is very very lucky. I know the named positions are meaningless nowdays but I can't see us lining up like that with 3 talls on the bench, Lids on a HFF and Hislop in the middle.

I still reckon they have no intention of playing Tambling.

Wish you were right, unfortunately you're wrong...he's playing & TW loves him, full stop.

IMO, our effort was better last week for a number of reasons, but 1 in particular was our team performance where we had no real passengers, ie. everyone had a dig, put their body on the line, ran hard and chased.  Those 4 things will ensure you at least make it a contest every week - something the likes of McMahon and Tambling fail to do on a weekly basis, especially the body on the line and chasing...if players like this continue to get free rides, the club is in trouble...

Tambling offers far more to the team than Nahas does and Tambling was one of our best in the Carlton game of showing desperation and putting his body on the line.

Nahas is playing for Coburg so it sounds like Blingers is playing tomorrow.

Yep.  Looks like I stand corrected.  I'd hate to see Tambling do his hamstring tomorrow - you would hope they learned their lesson 2 weeks ago.
