Just want to add that anyone thinking of travelling interstate - check out Qantas they have terrific low fares out already - earlier you book the chepaer it is
I'm gonna go to one interstate game next year - haven't been for a couple of years - be good to go in a group next time.  If anyone is interested in going maybe we could go en masse or at least organise to sit together!
Well froars if you come up to the Gabba maybe we could actually get to met each other.

I'm gonna have to quit my job with all these Sunday games  :help
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.

I agree with the club's view - it's a great fixture for families. I know my sister was contemplating not getting her kids memberships if we had heaps of night games next year.

I much prefer footy in the day, Saturday's first and foremost..but Sunday's aren't that bad. Our Saturday night's next year are basically our interstate matches which suits me fine.

Just a pity we cop sides that finished 1, 3 & 4 twice. I think I'd have preferred the Lions twice...particularly if we played them in the first three rounds when hafl their 2004 side will be missing :lol

19 chances to look at the new kids next year :thumbsup

Sportal

The Anzac Eve blockbuster between St Kilda and Richmond at Telstra Dome will be played as a twilight game in 2005.

The match has been scheduled for 5.10pm (AEST) on a Sunday afternoon in round five with the only other game that day being played at the usual early starting time of 1.10pm at the Gabba between the Brisbane Lions and West Coast.

The traditional Essendon-Collingwood Anzac Day clash will be played the following day on the Monday afternoon starting at 2.10pm at the MCG.

The Saints-Tigers clash will be the only twilight game staged in Melbourne in 2005 after the AFL released the match times for next season.

Not a fan of 5pm starts as it's a in-between time. It's awkward to fit in other things before or after twilight games. In any case I thought IIRC it was flop the last time the AFL tried it  ???.

I know this game's attracted a big crowd the last couple of years when it's been played on Easter Monday (always a Saints home game I note :banghead) but I don't think it is a BLOCKBUSTER :-\
