cant believe you still think white deserves his spot, we all know he is a favourite of yours but white must never play for us again
HE CANNOT KICK

You must be watching different Richmond footy matches to us TT.

I've seen Whitey hit MOST of his targets, as his stats shows. Misses some but is well above average for effectiveness, especially with his hands. Even Robert Harvey missed some targets in most games.

Maybe its YOU who doesn't know how to WATCH footy.

Lets kill this WHO NEEDS TO BE DROPPED mentality and replace it with: WHO IS PERFORMING WELL ENOUGH TO BREAK INTO THE SIDE.

We all know why WP likes Whitey.........has seen him play lots of good footy for the Tigers since his arrival at Tigerland.

i dont miss a game, obviously you dont watch any games.
white is useless, cannot hit a target even when under no pressure. he is poo
wake up
white alone cost us the game yesterday his turnovers and decision making made me cry, i could do better even when i was 10 years old

WOW.

If you were at a Richmond game yesterday, it must have been in a perpendicular universe or you have an axe to grind.

Whitey had an ordinary (at best) game, but didn't COST US THE MATCH ON HIS OWN.

Your week seems to have started badly, cheer up and enjoy the sunshine.

How about who is going to be around when we next have some type of chance at a premiership.

Tough calls need to be made ala Hawthorn.

OUT FOR GOOD - Brown Simmons Bowden - Tough call but they just aren't going to be around when we next get a shot.
Out for a rest - White peeed around and stuffed up big time. I could go on with a few others but what I think it comes down to is either
1 - Terry Wallace has no idea or 2 - He has lost the players.
Either way we need a shake up and with the GC getting most of the picks come 2010 we need to weed out the senior players mentioned above, play the kids so we have some idea of who to keep. While at the same time making sure we don't stuff ourselves up in the last stand draft by putting together meaningless wins to get us up arounf 9th - 12 possie on the ladder. 'Did I really just say that?' It really hurts, sad but true.
I can not see the forest from the trees at the moment, no light at the end of a tunel, just darkness.
I can not see a way out of this circus called Richmond for at least another half a dozen years

In - Hughes Tambling Edwards - Want too se if Oakley nicholls can show anything if he is left in the seniors for at least a month, lets have a look at Thompson also.

In the end I cant see the point of any of this if they come in and have no idea where their position is or what they have to do!

Wayne Campbell I repeat will not be able to get the respect of the group because they will all see through appointing a tiger just for the sake of it and besdies how can anyone who was soft implore there team to be anything they were not. The kids may pretend to listen but will be laughing on the inside. My opinion only and could be wrong  >:(

Hardwick all the way for me.

Platinum member and been going consistently to games for 30 years and I don't know if I can take much more  :banghead Seriously wondering whether I bother going to the Roos next week.

I will attend Coburg v Box Hill @ city oval prior maybe the ressies also to see if there is any point hanging on, but whteher I venture to Etihad or to the comfort of home aferwards remains to be seen.

Don't give me any of this Richmond doesn't need supporters like you crap because it is supporters like me that have stuck by this club through thick and THIN and if I am starting to feel like this I dare say there may be 1 or 2 more.  :banghead :banghead and  :banghead one for the road.

CUB I agree with much of what you say. We do need to take the hard line and look to the future with regards to our playing list. We have to do it without emotion or history and we need to do it based on facts and reality not hope and speculation. Promise unfufilled can only be excused in the very young and attitude and leadership need to become a huge focus on recruitment and list development.

Using this as a base for making decisions and with the understanding that we will be recruiting heavily with top draft picks (which may not eventuate if we have any sort of success this year) the following need to be brought into the team to play at least 5 game this year -

JON, Putt, Hughes, Petts, King, Collins, Gourdis, Polak and Cogs all need decisions to be made on them.

Brown, Bowden, Johnson, Simmonds and even Richo need to be retired.

Vickery and Post still have a year or two grace before they are expected to step up given their age and positions they play. Hislop & Thomson have a year, two at most, before they have decisions made on them.

You can not get rid of everyone and you need players to replace those that are underperforming or going no where but I calculate that if Johnson, Brown and Bowden retire plus Petts, JON, King, Polak and/or Cogs are moved on that gives us plenty of room to recruit come draft time.

We really need to look at Richo as a leader. His value as a player is frequently outweighed by the negatives he creates with his leadership. We need leaders who demand the 1% and team play over individual success which is completely opposite to how Richo himself plays and acts.

As for White. Agree he had an ordinary game against the Demons but he wasn't alone there but for the other 3 rounds he has been one of our better players.

In

Schulz
Silvestor
Patto

Out

Jack         Four games of nothing, needs to go back to Coburg to find the ball
McMahon  Dont need him and Bowden in the backline both being soft and unaccountable

Stripes you are 100% correct with everything you say. Here Here.

Decisions just need to be made so many players in the 2's that haven't been blooded properly:
JON, Hughes are the main 2 and both from the same year. Nothing stable for the kids to begin there career and build on it. Don't bring them in for 2 or 3 games and then drop them.. If a clubs leadership group and core group of players can't carry a debutant then that's the clearest indicator that you need to blood the kids. Until this happens I believe that our recruits will continue to fail.

2010 side:

B: Newman     Thursfield    Rance
HB: McGuane     Moore       White
C: Cotchin         Deledio    Richardson
HF: White         Vickory      Riewoldt
F: Nahas           Hughes    Morton
R: Pattison     Coughlan     Foley

Int: Raines, Graham, Collins, Cousins
Emerg: Post, JON, Connors

Gone:
Simmonds
Brown
Bowden
McMahon
Schultz
Johnson
Tuck (I hate to say it as I love Tucky but unfortunatly we're not going to win a GF in the next 2-3 years so best to havea  22 year old kid in 3 years then a retired Tuck.)

Limbo:
Pettifer (Has a life again..)
Polak must stay on list KP players don't go on trees and if he can make a comeback woudl be a great story
Thompson/Hislop prob have to the end of 2010 to show that they can play.

Are you going to clone White are you Pope?  :D
And are you sure about Richo? What a shame the GC doesn't come in til 2011, we might have got trade value for Richo if they started next year.

Agree with what you guys are saying though. The leadership group isn't carrying at all, so bye bye.

l feel for you CUB, myself l have had enough & have continued membership after all these years & getting poo dished up like that l prefer to not watch Richmond play at all. Although watching the game with my Melbourne supporting friend beside me sort of made it a day cause the look on his face was priceless. l already had said to him prior to the game Melbourne would upset us but my mate said they always fold after halftime. He made my day by telling me he had some football books given to him by Jack Dyer & signed by him & a trophy of some sort JD had won & given to him as a child as he lived next door to JD sister all his life. His words are next time l'm over l will give them to you.  l forgot about the game  ;D

Who ever takes over on Monday, one thing is for certain.
They will have a forward structure and leave Richo in the goal square , one on one with his opponent, if the ball is kicked there often enough, we might kick a winning score ;)

so your plan is to keep richo in the square and and kick it long to him ::)

Geez Geez with people like you pulling the strings we are well and truly screwed.  :help :banghead

I am almost about to give up I swear, Leave richo at full forward amd kick it long to him so we can kick a winning score, Its 1998 all over again. :banghead :banghead :banghead

Richo has been in career best form on the wing, he should stay there,

You must be joking about Tucky, his best and worst is very close and he is the best we have in hard ball gets.
Pretty sure that most clubs think we are soft and know if they beat us in hard ball gets they beat us.

I agree with you and stipes or your point that we need to make some hard decisions in the coming weeks.

Play some kids but play them on form. Look at the two some of the other sides the have been down the bottom, they are playing kids. We need to do that if they don't come up send them back until there form is up to speed and bring them back two or threee at a time.

They will either sink or swim and it will sent a message that you have to earn your position and for the older guys if you can't perform you might be playing in the VFA  for good.

Message to TW: Make the boys play Man to Man (incuding Bowden) when the oposition has the ball - please - we can't pull off a zone to save ourselves. Also we need to work out a plan to move the ball into the fowrd line without turn it over - they just chase us down and we cough it up - thats an idea maybe we we chase and harass too.
