Port Adelaide forward Damon White, who did not make Port's grand final side and found it difficult to break into a side containing Warren Tredrea, has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Geelong, which would see White as a cheaper fall-back option should the Ottens deal fall over.

Anyone think much of this bloke if he came cheaply? I know many Port fans rate him highly and were expecting him to replace the out of form Schofield in the GF.

ABOUT (2003)
The highly rated youngster made a welcome return to football in 2003 after a serious ankle injury ruined his first year at the club in 2002. The 20-year-old from Perth showed glimpses of why the Power was excited to pick him up at no. 62 in the 2001 National Draft. He played predominantly up forward for North Adelaide and showed off his big leap, strong hands and athleticism, pulling down some big marks. Was a Power emergency in ’03 and has ambitions of slotting in alongside Cornes and Tredrea up forward.
Mark Williams: Having recovered from a shocking ankle injury, Damon played his best football last year. He should play AFL football this year.
