haha how old was l well l can tell ya l'm older than Wayne, watched all his games. just to mention he was also a top junior representing Teal cup, got to be good footballer to have all them honors. he slowed down alot cause he carryed alot of them footballers in his years at Tigerland, you should be respectful he was there otherwise we could have had alot more wooden spoon. 1995 he had the ball on a string & there was alot of top players in the AFL at that time. The more crap you come up with the more l remember how good he really was. he also come runnerup a few times in the Richmond Best & fairest just to add to the 5 he won.
& as l said Jack Dyer said he was a great footballer,

So you've dedicated your entire life to Wayne Campbell. So you're as stupid in life as you are on this board. Good for you.

You can debate all you want about him as a player, what you cant deny is that he choked in games we needed to win. He was one of a group of senior players that couldnt show leadership when it mattered, and they had plenty of opportunities but always dropped their stones and finished 9th.

Not much chance of being a good coach if you were a shocking leader as a player and a perennial choker. To be putting your hand up for it after only a year's experience as an assistant shows you how much disdain you have for the club.

Back to the OP- the club will never go forward as long as people put themselves, their mates and their boyfriends ahead of the club. Campbell is a wonderful example of how some people at the club want to promote their own interests over and above the good of the club itself.

your a complete raver who l doubt ever played football. at any quality

Oh come on, this is the internet where you actually have time to think of a clever response before you post it
Is that the best you can come up with?

Infamy, you have been recycling the same anti Wayne Campbell rant for the last couple of weeks, how much thought has gone into that? Or are you just cutting and pasting?  ???

its funny all those imbeciles jump at the chance to mention Sugar's one B&F but when we turn our attention to Campo they go running and dont want to acknowledge what a good player he was at our club.

It's also funny that this thread is entitled "How would you Fix Richmond- Your Ideas to save a Great Club" and yet in your half dozen or so posts not one idea, just sniping at others who have had the courage to put their hand up and say what they would do.  Says a lot I think.

As far as I'm concerned, that entire period of our history and everyone associated with it should be blown up and buried 6,000 miles under the ground.
That'd be handy. Then you wouldn't have to worry about recorded historical facts about Campbell showing something different to your opinion.

Laffy and the dog was pretty funny.  :thumbsup The bloke who was yelling to take Laffy off and leave the stray dog on was a riot.

That story puts me one up on you in the worthwhile stakes.   :D

Yeah I love the historical fact that Campbell played 15 in seasons and only twice played in finals. And here I was thinking the whole point of AFL football was making finals, but I guess its all about racking up individual honors. And people wonder why we are such a rubbish club.

Like all premature ejaculators, you're far too easily pleased.

But Laffy's dog story is one of the best.

I think the club has been crap on-field despite a player the quality of Campbell and not because of him.

Have you got anything tangible to back up your opinion or is data mining and throwing insults the extent of it?

1980 & Infamy this is directed to you 2 campbell bashers.

15 seasons is very good at top level he should be applauded.
5 best & Fairest & a few runners-up
All-Australian
Victorian selection
finals football.
Captain of a AFL team
very well respected by past greats
top junior player
teal cup selection
played in premierships prior to league selection
being offered coaching roles now must mean something cause your not being offered anything but a dick in the ear from your mate
l say thats a list of acheivements your mouth cant run off about cause its constantly full
when you walk into the club next time-if you even go there have a look around,  you wont see your name anywhere but you find the Campbell name there & not just one
l just cant work out how you say he was a crap players with a huge list of acheivements, you 2 must be fooled in some form but l wont deflat you anymore cause you done that enough yourselves.

Now back to topic

How l would fix the club at present would be

1. honor Wallace request to coach out the season
2. sack several of the assistant coaches as they are not delivering in thier roles
3. put all players on notice they are all playing for thier futures
4. all players must be 100% fit to take the field
5. enforce curfews on media on all players & staff apart from AFL requirements
6. any player not playing to the game plan & structure of the side be replaced
7. any player not respecting his opponant be benched & dropped the next week

Can't argue with that TM! All sounds good to me! :clapping To not sack Wallace until the end of the season would show that we have matured as a club and are now prepared to fulfill contracts of coaches. This will only attract better quality coaching staff. Also regarding assistants, we need to recruit wherever possible, coaches who have a proven track record either on or off the field in their respective coaching positions. not backmen doing forward coaching and so on.

I think the club has been crap because it has overrated senior players like Campbell who were not fit to lead the club and proved it by choking the multiple opportunities they had to win games that led to finals, and instead finished NINTH.

I dont need to data mine to know a team is only as good as its leaders.

Go and look up how may times we finished 9th over Campbell's career.

Knifed Matthew Knights in the back
Split the playing group against Matthew Knights
Wanted to be traded to North but they didnt rate him enough to give anything up for him
Embarrassed the club with his chick slap on Libba proving conclusively once and for all that we were a soft club led by a girl
One of the most dubious kicks ever at the club. Famous for his quick kicks that counted as a stat but always turned ther ball over. Also famous for his high kicks that went 10 metres.
Was terrified of body contact. Never suffered a major injury because he'd rather turn the ball over than get tackled
Wore his hair girl style so he could look like his house mate Nick Daffy

Campbell was a footballer overrated by easily pleased premature ejaculators who were starved of success for so may years that they couldnt tell a good average footballer from a genuine matchwinning, team lifting superstar. You'd be embarrassed if you had to compare Campbell alongside his peers in the AFL such as Voss, Buckley or Hird.

i  bet we will get this no named coach and it will take us two years to get in the top 8

let us pray that it won't end up like that
 :pray

but with no guns in our team that seems to be the only thing we can look foward to  :-[

as l said your a born raver,  all your facts about Campbell & Knights are wrong but you know everything about Richmond players
The way you talk Campbell made himself captain haha you need to retain from substance abuse
you bash Campbell & Bowden constantly yet they are both All-Australian selected & Best & fairest winners
you must be the most important supporter in VFL/AFL history knowing more about football than Australian selectors

some people here have an IQ of a child.
Think of wayne campbell the person, not the player

Wayne Campbell is fully respected by all in the footy community .
His knowledge of football is second to none.
Will make agood coach.
I said the same about Matty Knights, and most wankers around here thought I was a fool, who are the fools now ??????
