* Until you get that scrutiny you don't know what it is like.

* Knew there were two scenarios that could happen this year. Haven't taken things said personally so you get on with the job.

* Upset with the set-up of the doorstep interview. Arrangement promised was broken. He got to work at 6.30am. Ch 9 crew was there. Told them off-air it was business as usual despite the loss. They said can he say that on air which he agreed. They then changed that and chucked in the question.

* He'll coach the year out. Doesn't expect the players to give up on the year so why should he. He also had a disappointing end at the Bulldogs which cut up doggie fans but also himself. Would've done things differently if he had his time over again. But that's life. The one thing is to learn from your mistakes and not repeat them.

* Believes the players support of him is still strong. Jacko bloody, Rance ending up in hospital, Moore going back on with a shoulder. They are committed. They aren't thinking of the coach when they miss a 30m kick.

* Thought the "dead man walking" headline was disappointing. Not offended but surprised. His grandkids might think he did something worse if they saw that headline in the future.

* Doesn't know where Caro gets her info from. It's not what he's been told. The RFC is paying his wage so he'll do what the RFC wants. If it gets untenible then that's different but the club has been supportive so that's no an issue.

* Hasn't given up on the year. Hasn't giving up on coaching. We still have 5 of our best to come back in returning from injury - Cotch, Browny, Sugar, Raines, .... It's not too late for supporters to stop coming through the gate. It's game on.

* Saw Collingwood get smashed by 80 points. Players out hurt. We have inexperienced players and we were less experienced than the Lions.

* Won't talk about individual players wheres, whys, etc. Happy to talk about the club and team in general.

* Healy asked at 3/4 time you were in a winning position yet you handed the responsibility to the players. Did you absolve yourself?
Terry said no. In the third quarter Brisbane were dominant so we played players behind the ball to stay in the game which lead to chipping sideways and all. We weren't going to win that way so asked the players if they want to continue playing like that or take them on. Players said take them on.

* Prez, board and Cameron haven't changed their position (Terry staying until the end of the year). Just a normal board meeting and it's just to check if he's still up and about and okay.

* Biggest problem with this team is we have the least players in the 24-28 y.o. in the comp. We've had to play 30+ and kids. It's going to take 8 years from 2004 to get it right when the Deledios and co reach that age.

* Richo may play later this year but everything has to go right.

* Our errors in recruiting haven't been deeper into the drafts. It's been the early choices haven't stood up. We didn't have a development coach until my 3rd year.

* He believes he'll be coaching until the end of the year. However if the club said they can't go on like this and the players said they wanted to change then he'll accept that. He'll do what's best for the RFC not himself.

* Mike said can the club go on like this and is the club better served with Wallace or a caretaker. Terry said how do you know what's going to happen over the next 15 weeks and you don't think these 5 players will make a difference.

Callers......

* First caller asked how seriously have you considered dropping Browny and schulz?
Browny injured over past 3 weeks so it's a tough one. He'll definitely play better when he does comes back injury-free. He is out of contract so you'll find he has the hunger.

* second caller was a Wallace supporter challenged Healy and the media for pushing the get rid of Wallace now line.
Healy said at 1-6 and the way Richmond is playing it's natural to question if a change would be better for the club.

* Third caller congratulated Terry for taking on the RFC job. Frustrated with the slow movement of the footy. Also asked about Cleve?
Cleve lost his way there for a while as a player. It happens to everyone. It can turn as he kicked 6 goals against Port last year. He'll play Coburg seniors this week.

Wallace left with saying stick with us Tiger supporters.

Healy said after Terry left that for Terry to survive until the end of the year there needs to be an upkick. Win 2-3 games in the next month and he'll last. We should have beaten Sydney and could have beaten Brisbane. At 3-4 things would be different. Mike and Healy both agreed we need to win one of the next two (vs Port and Essendon). Healy said Port are depleted so there's a chance there. If Richmond are 1-8 or 1-9 by the end of the month then it'll be goodbye Terry.

Healy and Mike asked Russell who he would want to coach in 2010 - Richmond or Melbourne? Dwayne said they are both miles away so it'd be GC17 with their draft concessions. Mike said Melbourne.

It's a pity that Terry didn't get to answer that last caller's question about the slow and sideways ball movement. He seemed to be squirming in his seat a bit as that question was asked. It'd be pretty re-assuring for Tiger fans if Terry could have promised us that they'd at least TRY to play a more direct brand of footy.I'd love to think that we could rock up in future and not have to put up with the type of confused and indirect rubbish that they served up in the 2nd half of the Brisbane game

I think he did answer the question, he said that Brisbania was dominating so they threw extra numbers behind the footy. I feel for the bloke, this is such a cut throat game :-\ :'(

Laughable.
Wallace stating his best 5 players are to come back in,
You are on drugs Terry.
Sugar Johnson is finished and was last year.
Brown is just about had it as well.
Raines, well he is off to GC17 ;) and is the clanger king( Besides J. King, JON and Joel )LOL
As for Cotchin, will you break him down as well?
You said 5 players but named 4 ???

when has Johnson been in our best 5 players, hasnt been able to get a kick for the past 2 years.  You must be joking.
Terry under the pump still reverts to spin doctoring.
Just shows why he cant coach. Players can see through crap ;)

yeah....he sure talks alot of bs.

johnson's definitely in our best 5.  i wouldn't even consider him in the best 22.

no way we should be trying to win the next 2 or 3 and jeopardise our future just so terry can coach out the year.  not worth it at all.

tank away play the kids

Well done Terry at least you still hold your head.

You insipid idiots that call yourself supporters that still bag this person we call our coach..... thats right he is still a person...... you have the brains of wacko fleas. This club is better of keeping Wallace and peeing off un-supporters like you.
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.
