Matty Knights to bomberland

Reported on SEN that Matty Knights was down at Windy Hill today, apparently he is going for the coaching position for their VFL team.

He'll have to move to Bendigo - the Bendigo Board have requested that the next coach of Bedigo to live in the city

This is a good move by Knighter if he wants to get into coaching. Sheeds will teach him heaps. Not sure how Matty will go though. He struggled at the Port Adelaide Magpies.

Matthew Knights appointed coach of VFL club

 Former Richmond skipper Matthew Knights has been appointed coach of the Bendigo Bombers for the next two years.

Knights parted with the Port Adelaide Magpies as their senior coach several weeks ago and now links up with Essendon's affiliate club in the VFL.

Knights played 279 AFL Senior games and captained Richmond for 5 seasons. He is also is a member of the Richmond FC “Team of the Century”.
