Thanks for the tip CUB.  Yep, reserved seating all gone.  Standing room only.  Had trouble booking online so had to book via phone.

Apart from CUB, Mopsy and myself, who else is going to this game?  I'm assuming WP is coming up?

I'm not Julz.  Can you believe it - a daughter of close, long time family friend is getting married that day.  Of all 52 Saturday's to choose from in a year.................. aaarrrrggghhhh!   :'  :'(  :'(    Two of my sons are attending though - at least they can fly the flag for me.

And just on that game - some on here will remember me ranting a while ago re: Qld members not being able to use their membership to get in to this, our home game.  Rumours abounded that Qld members could transfer an entitlement from another home game to this one - as I would have thought was fair and correct in these circumstances.  Well, when push came to shove it wasn't quite as it seemed.  Turns out you could transfer your entitlement if you are a 5 game Country/Interstate member, not a Full 11 or 18 game member.  And ringing the club did no good - just the standard "we don't make the rules" line.  My son spent 2 x's 15 minute phone calls trying to plead his case to the club and not an ounce of empathy, apology or commitment to take it up further.  You can imagine the frustration for people from interstate who choose to purchase a Full membership in the belief that the extra money is helping the club much more than the cheaper 5 game model - after all, there would be very few interstate members who would have the opportunity to utilize even remotely close to the full benefits of an 11 or 18 game membership.  Poor effort by all concerned - the AFL who apparently 'made' the rule, and the club for not putting something in place to cater for members who pay the same money but don't live in the preferred or acknowledged 'football' zone.  And the club wonders why some people drop their membership or think twice about joining.   :banghead  >:(  :banghead
