Doesn't really matter, I thought this game was a shoe in for us........ until I watched the Eagles play Geelong today.... :whistle

win by 10 goals next week, nothing more certain :gotigers

jack whats that going to prove seriously??

Beat the Eagles by 10 goals, then get smashed by the Saints following week.

eff this poo we need to lose. A few points will do it.

We need this Butcher kid seriously we meaningless wins get us to where we are now. NOWHERE
Listen my friend, the problem @ Richmond is very serious, it's all in player development. Any club can pick up a good young player but the real skill is how quick you can get him to the next level. At Richmond it seems they seriously struggle with this.
You can pick up the best kid in the draft and you can also stuff up his entire career if he isnt developed properly. It's quite obvious to me that this is the key problem, the board should be spending all the money they have to get this right. Yes the club has made recruiting errors but so has all clubs but we need to get it right in player development and then no matter where you finish in the pecking order come draft day you pick up a good kid and he can develope into a great 10+ year player for us.
The club that keeps giving.

Spot on but add some more recruiting officers into the mix too!

Well based on the efforts of those playing at Coburg today there shouldn't be many changes at all

Struth they were bad

Anyway

OUTS: McMahon, Pettifer, McMahon, Thursfield (watch the replay anyone want to pick the moment Will lost me :-\) Simmonds stays only because Gus was very ordinary today, ditto Vickery

INS: flip a coin....... Thomson, Edwards, Slivestor ;D (yes I'm on a mission :lol), King or JON
Well if it was a freakin' slippery marshland I'd expect Gus and Vickery to be relatively ineffective.  Not their day for a stand out performance.  Just bring Gus back, he never should have had to come back through Coburg.  :scream

Gus needs to come in for Simo as Simo just doesnt take marks or compete well enough in the ruck these days.

As far as developing our kids, well its a bit hard seeing we havn't got as many kids as other sides because we keep recuiting discards. We also made some terrible recuiting decisions around five years ago and you just cant develop some kids.

In (Out)

Graham (Simmonds) Schulz (Pettifer) McMahon (Post)

how far is Nahas?

is Moore and Deledio injured?

Simmonds, Pettifer, McMahon, Brown, Johnson, King, Oakley-Nicholls, Edwards - must all be gone for Richmond to go forward.

You want Schultz to continue??? You must be joking. I find it incredulous that anyone would even consider retaining him on the list. It proves to me that the people in control @ Richmond had no idea after trying to trade him then continualy giving him a chance @ senior level when obvious to ALL (I thought) that he was at best a good VFL player. If he's no good just delist him! The kid is obviously deficient in footy brain function.

absolutely spot on...too often we've drafted elite juniors only to see them leave Punt rd broken down 2 bit bums...err Sarge  and Hughes anyone :-\...too easy to cast this off as wrong choices coz the list of failures is as long as your arm, the blame is fairly and squarely targetted at those who are supposed to develop...YEP that means coach these kids to become elite AFL players...fair dinkum when TW suggested he didnt have a development coach for 2 years , I would have quipped, so you do in fact have one now ::)

We need just look at Geelong as an example of good recruiting. Ok we all know that they have had some wins in the father/son but the only problem they have now is trying to hold on to up & comers in the reserves who arent getting an opportunity in the seniors. Now when was the last time we had an abundance of riches in player stocks that good players had to wait in the reserves?

Even allowing for the conditions I dont think it is asking too much for blokes to exert some defensive pressure on their opponents. IMHO that was the disappointment in Graham & Vickery games on Sunday.

In the mix: round 12

Richmond

Young goalsneak Robbie Nahas should return after missing last weekend with a corked quad, but the real interest surrounds last year’s No.8 draft pick, Tyrone Vickery. The 18-year-old has been in consistently good form for Coburg and would be expected to play as a tall forward rather than in the ruck where he is expected to eventually end up. The injured Nathan Brown and Matt White are both expected to remain on the sidelines.

Well from what footage I have seen on Vickery versing Natanui he (Vickery) killed him every time...... well just about. I was and still are an advocate for Vickery and I hope the hell he plays.

Mr Tigra, Jay Schulz has one more year on his contract. a trade is the only option. Jake King is in the same position.

just with the In's and Out's ... if Nahas is 'FIT' play him.

i have changed my mind with the In's/Out's:

Vickery (Simmonds), Nahas (Pettifer) Schulz (McMahon)
