RFC Recruiting Re Jordon McMahon
« on: June 06, 2009, 09:21:03 AM »
How on earth can anymore who goes and watch footy would stick up for Jordon McMahon.
We could of had Callan Ward etc.
McMahon is an absolutely disgraceful footballer.
Did not have an opponent for the entire night.
And we used to bag Tiva ::) ::) ::) ::)

No, we could have had Scott Selwood as that's who Jackson wanted with pick 19.

Not that it's that much different anyway because Selwood has looked promising in the past few games for the Eagles. :-[

Tivers should never be mentioned in the same breath as this useless footballer.

lets hear again from you Mcmahon lovers how his penetrating kicks are so damaging.

What a waste of space. I stuffin hope Campo dumps this fool back to Coburg never to wear Yellow and Black again.

I remember the day he ewas recruited and how so many people were rapped with the selection, much like they are with those 2 other supposedly INSIDE PLAYERS Thompson and Hislop. what a disgrace selecting those 2 was.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

The excuse at the time from the Club being that it was a weak draft in terms of depth and the likes of Rance and Selwood wouldn't be around by both our picks 18 & 19  :P. Good clubs put their faith in the National draft as the best way to bring in the best young talent and put their resources towards it; Bad clubs don't and make up excuses instead. We've been the latter sadly.

We'll be able to see Scott Selwood for ourselves close up next week. He has 17 possies, 4 tackles and a goal against the Cats today. The Eagles had an "honourable loss".

Woosha and the Eagles are smart operators. They know exactly what needs to be done.

They will win a flag in the next 5 years and we will still be struggling

With respect to Thomo and Hislop....I was at the pre-draft night last year and FJ or CC (i think it was the latter) said with respect to Thomo's trade that they wanted to ensure a midfielder came thru the door.

What I couldnt and still cant understand is why they didn't trade for Prismall.  Who had just broken into the much vaunted Geelong midfield.   Bombers gave up a 3rd round pick (no. 39) for Prismall and we gave up a 3rd round pick for Thomo (no. 42)....So in effect not much difference between 39 and 42.....Prismall has played one game already for the bombers after a knee reco...and Thomo is still at the Burgers??????? makes you scratch your head.

You aren't an OER member if you havent weighed into the McMahon debate so let me for the record say that I absolutely hate him as a footballer.

Along with McMahon who is useless you have to include Kane Johnson.
Both as equal's in football tallent.
Get rid of both at the end of the year and we will be able to start on the right track for once.

You didn't need to be much of a lip-reader to see what Rodney Eade thought of him on the weekend!  ;D
