If Jackson wins our B&F it just highlights even more the sad state of affairs our list is in.
He's a tryer with poor disposal.

who ever wins, they should hand the medal back.
Been a pathetic year
Knighter won two B&Fs when we were rubbish. You can't blame an individual who's in our bests most weeks for playing in a crap side.

Jackson is an ordinary player always has been. Should be traded out if possible.

Lids wins!

Jackson is a tagger that cannot kick

Tambling was better this year but a long way from winning anything.

We need to find atleast 1 extra early pick, the smokey which was Black from Peel is someone we could have taken if Griffiths isnt available at 19. Trengove, Griffiths, Black in our first 3 picks wouldnt be a bad result.

I would expect Deledio to win 2009.
Btw, I remember speaking to Nathan Foley directly after missing out on the 2007 Best and Fairest by one vote- I'll never forget how he said to me that he 'was gutted' to lose.
I wonder if he will ever fulfill his wish of winning?

Not sure if he is carrying an injury or anything but Jacko has had a shocker last third of the season.

I wouldn't say he has had a shocker, but yes he was carrying an injury.

Of cause it is a stupid comment, I made it.
Facts of the matter is as follows.
Alot of players have "'built in bonuses"' into there contracts etc. Top 5 finish in B& F might be worth an extra $10,000
Winning it , $50,000.
Can tell you alot of players depend on the bonus in the scheme of things.
Another example being play the 10 games , you get and extra $5,000 a game

Jackster- not sure if he had a bonus written in  if he won.
I just know he was generally really disappointed - I mean, for those there. there was this real sense that everyone hoped Richo would finally win, and when he did, we all forgot about the ther young guy who had a cracker of a season.
Having said that, in respect to your 'bonus' comment earlier, I found recently that my father was to be paid $100 extra as a bonus, if he won the 1974 Brownlow.   (but that's another thread all together!)

I know all about the bonuses players get for number of games in a season, B&F placings, B&F wins, AA selection, etc
You are accusing a kid, off the rookie list, having a breakout season, favourite for the B&F all year, only being disappointed that he missed out on $50k.
Strange world you live in, seems your world revolves around money. Funny that money doesn't buy you happiness and you are constantly angry. Is that because you don't have enough money, or not enough happiness?

SEN mentioned our nominations for 2009 MVP - Cousins, Jackson and Newman.

These are voted on by the players.

Can tell ya Rhett $100 back in 1974 was good money.
Could buy a carton of smokes & few cartons of beer + Fish & Chips on Friday night & still have change to drink & bet in the pub all day Saturday listening to the footy :thumbsup
