Who out of our young guys do you reckon will be the surprise packet or improve the most in 2005?

I'll say Jay Schulz.

It's time for him to make a stand. Should have a killer pre-season, adding a few more kilos to his frame, improving his endurance and sprinting capacities and fine tuning his kicking.

I am hoping Hartigan and Jackson continue to improve. I would like to see Jackson put a bit of muscle on, especially across he shoulders - this is achievable because he will do a full pre-season this year.

I reckon Andrew Raines will improve and will play between 10-20 games next year and will be the biggest improver.  :cheers

I want Chris Newman to stand up. Granted he wasn't our worst in 2004 but to me at least he didn't improve at all on his 2003 performances and that was very disappointing IMO.

Also would like to see Kyle Archibald not have anymore problems with OP and play senior footy in 2005. He has the height to hold down a key position but like Jackson needs to muscle up in the upper body.

I agree I like the look of Raines - he has poise like his old man and a thumping kick - not afraid to get in amongst it either

Here here Julz  :thumbsup

If Raines improves to even half the extent he did this year then he'll be well in the mix in 2005. I agree that he and Schulz will be the big improvers from our cubs. By the way welcome aboard OER bluehouse  :cheers.

I'd reckon Newman stagnated this year partly because Danny and Co. didn't know what to do with him and where to play him. He seemed to be half way between the small defender position he played last year and a midfielder. He never seem to settle in one position. Wallace loves his classy players so I think Newman will thrive under Terry's reign. Most likely off half-back.

Happy Gilmore!

He will become the next Cogs

He will have the masses throthing at the mouth. I believe under Wallace this kid will start taking giant strides around mid-season.
