Weve all talked about Neil Balme coming to Richmond but Rob Wiley very rarely gets a mention for a role at Punt Rd. A Richmond Premiership player Wiley has had a successful career as an assistant coach for WCE and now he's the High Performance Manager for the WA under 18s who just flogged everybody in the carnival. Why isnt Wiley at Richmond? Why do we persist in bringing in people from other clubs who have very little to do with Richmond and who have worked at unsuccessful clubs. People like Balme and Wiley should be at Richmond.
On another front and talking about Non Richmond people, but Shane Woewodin seems to be doing a fantastic job in developing young kids in the WAFL for his side. Player development is a major flaw at Richmond- and if he is doing such a good job then maybe he should be looked at for an assistants role.
