Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett has called on Richmond president Gary March to explain the coaching selection process after reports emerged today that the club has already drawn a line through Kevin Sheedy.

Caroline Wilson's article in 'The Age' reports that the club has already ruled out the former Essendon coach in their search for a senior coach.

A clearly angry Bartlett demanded March clarify the club's stance on it's selection for a new coach.

Bartlett has been a high profile supporter of Kevin Sheedy taking on the position, and when March refused to come on his radio program, Bartlett called the president's response 'pathetic.'

"I think that's absolutely weak, I think that is absolutely pathetic," Bartlett said.

"I think the President has to do a lot better than that, than hide behind 'I'm going to another meeting'."

"I don't think Richmond supporters should be happy with that at all."

"I think Gary March should have responded."

As I said before, KB had a line through every other candidate himself, so a fine one to question someone else 
March does have to explain the selection process though and say whether he said one that Sheeds wouldn't be coaching if he was president.
Can't be a prejudiced selection, but a bit rich coming from the cheerleader of one of the candidates.

i find it extroadinary that a guy who has neglected the club since he was sacked is making the biggest noise regarding the RFC.

I'm not normally one to defend Gary March, however I'm not sure what else is realistically expected of him
He shouldn't have to put his life on hold just because KB wants some questions answered

Don't listen to his morning program as I can't stand him. A puppet to say the least and a very self centred person who cares little for the club. I hope someone beats his 403 games record at the club. Hopefully Lids does.

Could KB explain why March who is overseas needed to come on and explain things when KB was going to have Cameron on his show just and hour later?!  ???

I dont think the president or anyone else at Richmond should have to explain what their processes are, the candidates will probably tell us anyway post interview. For KB to run with a story from caro and think it is the gospel truth is pretty naive considering all the crap that the journos have produced so far this year!
