Malthouse will have his contract extended for 2 years and Buckley will be an assistant at Collingwood next season with a planned handoever when Malthouse resigns.

If that was true then it's no different to the Sheeds soap opera and avoiding the selection process. Bucks has been busy coaching the U16s and the main interview process hasn't started yet to my knowledge.

Sorry tigertough12, I'm not buying it. We are being very careful to follow a process this time to avoid the problems we have created in the past by not doing our homework. Bucks may be our prefered options at the moment but after a series of interviews someone else may show us they are a far better fit for our list and club.

Bucks may be the standout now but we would be foolish not to find out others have to offer before making our final decision regardless of what the media or supporters feel. No one thought Knights or Clarkson were good option either.

Bucks will be coaching  RICHMOND

So because you say its so makes it true..I reckon your  guessing as you've offered us nothing other then an opinion to back your claim.

Fwiw...buckley  can get get screwed..the language his used so far in all things Richmond seems arrogant and like he wants nothing to do with us...and thas fine by me
