I think we should add extra time. It's such a hollow feeling at the end of a game to walk away with a draw. It would make for a far more exciting spectacle if we gave each team 5 additional minutes up each end.

Not extra time — in the great tradition of backyard football, when scores are tied, it's "next goal wins".

They introduced the golden point rule into rugby league to avoid deadlocks and its working pretty well so far. You can always moan about a loss and of course cheer for a victory but this draw thing...well as a Denis Pagan once said, "Its like dancing with your sister".

Not sure why you said that considering there have been a multitude of changes to the rules over the past 100 years. The game is evolving and it must continue to evolve in the future. As has been shown, the good rule changes are kept and the bad ones are dumped. Its what keeps us ahead of the other codes.

Exactly right - keep the draw, if you're not good enough to win outright in 120 minutes of football then hard luck. I hate the Golden Point and Penalty Shootout finishes in league and soccer.

I have just as many issues with every multitude of changes you refer to. The AFL rules committee is far too quick to bring in new rules to stop certain tactics and then find themselves having to bring in new rules to counteract the strategies teams use to exploit the new rules. The game will always naturally evolve, the AFL should butt out and stop screwing around with the rules all the time. It means the umpires can't keep up and it makes the game even more inconsistent as it is already.

I say keep the draw.
If it came to sudden death we might lose.
So why not be happy with 2 points rather than none if we had a shoot out.
So keep it that same so we at least get some points for a hard slog.
