Luke Livingston
« on: October 20, 2004, 02:10:28 AM »
Does anyone think he still has a future as a defender in the AFL or is he Carlton's equivalent of Fiora - a wasted high first round pick? The Blues have offered him a one-year contract but the Herald-Sun says he may try his luck in the PSD.

They reckon he has struggled under Pagan.  :-\

I have always thought that he is too lean - skillful but to lean and knocked off the ball to easily. Would be a reasonable KPP ifhe could bulk up IMO

But if he ends up being the best available in the PSD then what do you do? :P

That's a bit hard MT...........

Couldn't be that scrawny ???

Have to be more agressive  >:(

He'd be able to hit 1 in 5 tagets at least  :help

Wouldn't he?......Just in case, lets not draft him.

Well looks can be derceptive. I found these details from the CarltonFC Website....

Like Livingston

Height 190cm

Weight: 92kg :o

Recruited From: Kerang/Bendigo U18

Debut: 2002

Date of Birth: 4 November 1982

THE FINE PRINT...
After a promising debut season in 2002 when he played 17 games, Livingston struggled in 2003 and managed just 10 games. He was tried at both ends of the ground, but probably looks better suited in defence. Played some solid football in the VFL with the Northern Bullants, but will need to step up this season.

Draft history: 2000 National AFL Draft 1st round selection (Carlton) No. 4 overall on-traded by Port Adelaide to St Kilda for Darryl Wakelin and No. 48 (Matthew Smith).

================

Hmm.........92 kgs on a 190cm frame aint to bad :-\

I just don't know .... but let's be honest we need talls down back. The quality of the PSD is looking "lite on" IMO

Though I would lean towards taking another 18 y.o. before this bloke.

You'd think we'd have learnt by now to stay clear of Carlton rejects.

No more Carlton rejects !!

If Carlton, who have no key defenders, are not fighting to keep him then we must stay away from him.

He has the frame IMO but not the ability.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?
