Doesn't happen much on this forum so here goes:

Edwards: Amazing what confidence can do, been playing really well and yesterday continued his improvement. Looked stupidly sily getting tackled while taking on McLeod and Judd in consecutive weeks but making mistakes only enables you to learn from them. I'm really liking his game. Still needs another big carb pre season hopefully thats not far away.

Silvester: The cat has been super. I wasn't a wrap for a mature age rookie to be getting gigs ahead of Gourdis, Browne etc but he's been really good and can possibly be the Gorilla down back we've lacked since big Stuey Wigney lol.

Patto: The guy's work rate is second to none, some could argue it only gets you so far in AFL. But without it, it gets you no where. I'm a massive Patto fan I think he's developing similar to what Drew Petrie was in his early careers and if he continues tow ork hard I think he could mould into a similar player.

King: The angry midget is similar to Patto, for mine King would be someone would be 22nd or 21st picked in a Premiership side. as long as the team balance is right I can see King being that nuggety workhourse in a premiership side that pips out a better skilled bigger bodied team mate, but Kings second and third efforts are really impressive. As long as he continues to do this and works as hard as he does he seems to just fit in the best 22. Hi goal on the run from 50 was a really pleasing sign.

Deledio was superb, Cotchin played his best game, Riewoldt the same aswell.

Vickery and Post both were very lively. I think Tyronne played his best game his little dance fox trot in the middle around 22 Essendon players was hilarious. Posts goal from the "Bartel" pocket showed alot of poise. Good on him.

I've forgotten many others.

FYI the lid is still firmly on. Just pleasing to see a win with 100% team input, and with a game style that didn't revolve around kicking sidewards crap and with multiple scoring options.The bombers were off there game with Lloyd injured as well, but just very pleased to see a win regardless of it losing 1 pick in the order of the draft.

Been saying it for a while Lids has been the most dissapointing for me this year - well done Jade  Maybe he is turning the corner and can become the player I/We expect him to be.


Post and Vickers were just average at VFL level, just goes to show how improvement can come about when you have better payers around you. Long way to go but looking OK.
Actually Post looks to have something a bit special - we'll see.

Must not forget Tambo has come along in leaps and bounds - Great stuff blingers.

Allways stuck by Polo, has that bit of mongrel we need and deserves his spot on the list.

What was pleasing when listening to the game yesterday, was the amount of times Cotchin, Deledio, Cousins and Tambling were called and it wasn't followed with 'that's not a good kick'.

We're getting more and more good users into the team, and they're all getting their hands on the ball a lot more. You can add Riewoldt, Morton, Nahas and even Edwards to the guys who make good decisions and can usually execute cleanly.

King, Jackson, Hislop and Polo still make me nervous but if others work hard to get into space, then their kicks don't need to be pinpoint, thread the needle type disposals which the Wallace game plan required.
