Anyone seriously believe that Richo wanted to come back early so he could help out his brother in law in the last few games of the year and hopefully help get his brother in law over the line for the coaching job. Its something I heard earlier from someone and it seems very fanciful to me.

Richardson's hamstring injury may be season ending
Australian Associated Press

Richmond star Matthew Richardson is no certainty to play again this AFL season after he experienced a scare over his injured hamstring in his comeback match on Saturday.

Richardson had played just 15 minutes for Coburg in the VFL in his first game since he had surgery to repair his hamstring tendon, after round six, when he felt tightness and opted to leave the field for good.

Richmond stressed Richardson left the field as a precaution, but the 34-year-old will undergo scans next week to determine whether it is worthwhile trying to return this season given the Tigers won't play finals.

Richo sore in VFL comeback
richmondfc.com.au
By Murray Belkin 7:01 PM Sat 01 August, 2009

RICHMOND forward Matthew Richardson has suffered a minor setback in his bid to return to AFL level, feeling some soreness in his hamstring while representing Coburg in the VFL on Saturday.

Richardson – playing in his first game since rupturing his hamstring against the Swans in round six – felt tightness in the muscle halfway through the first quarter and left the field for treatment.

The 34-year-old did not return to the game as medical staff took a precautionary approach, preserving Richardson's prospects of playing with the Tigers before the season is over.

Richmond confirmed that Richardson would have scans on Monday to determine whether further time on the sidelines is required.

Sounds more precautionary than anything.  Better to be safe than sorry.

Sounds like a lot of pent up tension considering Mr Bowden is playing reserves and will 100% be gone at the end of the year.

Rich may live to fight another and hopefully he will.
Take a step back TM.

just precautionary.  tightness but no tear (tho we wont' know until the scan.  however, hate it when the press just jumps on and puts out the "potentially career ending" rubbish

The fact is Bowden will be picked up by another club next year & l bet he has a great year.
Richo the pet of the club who lets the team down consistantly & deflates team moral gets kissed on the ass by a useless president who cant keep his mouth shut for 1 media interview cause he wants to be special like leatherskin Wallet & protects the well trained medical & fitness staff at the club  ;D consistantly letting them make wrong decision all year  :rollin makes you wonder why l dont jump out of my skin for the club. l'm truely over them.
As for directing abuse at me cause l proved a few of you wrong again. l just kick back & laugh at some of you so called football knowledged wankers.
As l said Richo is FINISHED  ;D if Richmond dont retire him end of season then RICHO is greater than the Richmond football club
