Richmond now holds the longest streak without playing finals
« on: August 09, 2009, 05:38:35 AM »
Of the current clubs, Carlton and Richmond have gone longest without a recent finals appearance. Both once-proud clubs met in the 2001 first semi-final, and the Tigers emerged victorious.

Neither has played in a finals series since, and they have collected five wooden spoons between them in that time (three to the Blues and two to the Tigers).

Richmond could still be a few years away from getting back in there, too.

With the right selection as coach and some good recruiting we will be back into the finals quicker than many believe. Getting the big forward we need and some extra class in the midfield will help our cause no end.

Ramps I agree. :clapping

Hardwick as coach is a start. Hopefully the seed of success will be planted if Hardwick gets the gig full time.
