King and Hislop reported
« on: August 15, 2009, 06:44:06 PM »
Jake King (Richmond) reported for striking Didak (Collingwood) by umpire Donlon in the second quarter

Tom Hislop (Richmond) reported for rough conduct against O'Bree (Collingwood) by umpire Avon in the fourth quarter

Lukey McGuane also said in the effects mike that Travis Cloke bit him but when the ump asked him directly what his allegation was Lukey kept silent and ran off.

King and Hislop had a crack thank God.

Even me being a Mr Nice Guy would have about 10 guys up infront of the group in there jocks wearing bibs with footage showing them flat footed and watching.

Handpassing to someone 1 metre away and then standing still is pathetic.

Handpassing to a guy standing still is just dumb.

Meatheads the both of them ::). Sure he had a dip as far as showing emotion but sorry I wasn't one of the members giving Kingy a standing ovation especially after he gave that dumb free away right in front of us and was rightly dragged. The lack of discipline in this side across the board is a disgrace. That's the first thing the new coach is going to have to make a stand on over preseason.

I reckon Hislop is an imbecile,

Kings free kick was bad.

I think it looks a lot worse when you see players walking when the ball is contested within 50 meters let alone 10m. Far bigger issue then being undisciplined.

Undiscipline play can be fixed. Poor desire and work ethic is much much harder.

On Before the Game tonight they said the tv cameras didn't pick up the initial incident between Kingy and Didak. Good old Andrew Maher goes I saw it from the boundary - 40m behind the play and King giving a fist or forearm to Didak's chest which sent him to the ground.

I heard that on BTG too, sounds to me like there was nothing in it ;)

In fact, give him a reward

King and Hislop were the only ones who flew the flag today, the rest of them are a bunch of overpaid pansies.

I know you're not allowed to do it, but if Richmond showed the tribunal this video, King would get off and Didak would probably be laughed at.

Didak has a history of doing this kind of thing. He even argued with the umpire that he should have gotten a free!

i wouldn't be calling that flying the flag pal.

i call flying the flag laying about 10 tackles a game, blocking, shepherding for each other like the saints.

that being said i thought it was pretty low if its true that no one went in to bat for Kingy on the wing. Very low!!

Nice to see Joel next to him and just spectating whilst 4 Magpies just stacked on. ::)
Now that was a flag waving incident if ever I saw one. Made me proud. ::)

Nick Maxwell criticises Richmond's approach

NICK Maxwell has criticised Richmond players for showing more interest in scuffling than winning the hard ball during yesterday's clash.

....

He suggested it would be unfair if a lot of the Magpies ended up copping fines for involvement in a melee.

"There were certain instigators that were a part of that and they're the ones that should be fined, not the ones that were trying to break it up," he said.

....

Uh, we all saw who started the melee, Tarkyn Lockyer, Alan Didak and a third player.  ::)
