North Melbourne press conference at 3pm ( re: new coach )
« on: August 17, 2009, 01:36:46 PM »
SEN rumour from anonymous txter so take it for what it's worth  - North will announce their coach tomorrow and it's not who you'd expect. Robbo said is that Brad Scott. Another txter said Peter German. And another said Alan Richardson  ???. Most likely garbage but just putting it out there.

Edit: Cheers wayne. Beat me to it  :thumbsup

North are giving an update on their coach search at 3pm acording to SEN and I think they said they have asked their players to be at Arden St.

SEN not sure if they are announcing their new coach today or just the final candidates and/or timeframe for a final decision.

If anyone can listen in and post what is said it would be much appreciated.

Doran says that SEN asked 'should they take this one live' and they were told yes.

Must be a new coach.

EXCLUSIVE: DAMIEN Hardwick is out of the running for the North Melbourne coaching job, meaning Brad Scott is likely to win the role. The Herald Sun understands Hardwick, believed to be in the final two with Scott, is no longer in the mix.

The Kangaroos will make an announcement on their coaching search at 3pm, with all roads now leading in the Scott direction.

Scott, an assistant coach at Collingwood and a Brisbane premiership player, has also been vying with caretaker Darren Crocker for the job.

Brad Scott and James Brayshaw just walked in.

3 year deal. Very thorough process  :lol

Young, smart, dynamic, ruthless.

All candidates were sensational, Scott a unanimous choice.

He's an apprentice so he's on $5.60 an hour for the first three years  ;D

Pulled out or wasnt interested there job as his preference. right from the start Hardwick told them Richmond was his preferred club to coach. Scott went through our process and didnt get past the first round.

Do you know that or are you guessing?  He must have been 'fairly' interested if he got down to the final 2.
