Forget the coaching 'process': Dipper

HAVING A DIP by Robert DiPierdomenico
Gold Coast Bulletin
August 18th, 2009

THE RICHMOND Tigers are going through a thing called a 'process' to choose their new coach.

Personally, I think it's a waste of a word and a waste of time going through a long process.

Collingwood signed up Nathan Buckley in quick time, the Sydney Swans had John Longmire put pen to paper and the Kangaroos signed Brad Scott yesterday.

It seems that maybe Richmond have got too much time on their hands.

What they need is for someone to take charge of them now, they need some sort of direction at the club.

What I saw on Saturday against Collingwood was a club looking lost.

Put simply, Richmond are in a situation where they are thinking about where the club is moving.

But sometimes you can think far too much.

All we seem to hear from Richmond at the moment is the word 'process'.

We're going through the process.

Well there is only so long you can go through the process.

I've spoken to some of the six, seven, eight or nine coaches who have been interviewed by the club.

A few of them understand that they've got no hope of getting the senior coaching job, but are caught up in the 'process'.

Forget the process, it's now time to make an announcement.

Collingwood did, Sydney did and they're both better off for it.

It's time Richmond joined that club.

Would agree.
We are a circus.
Yet another soap opera played out in the media.
Kangas made a quick decision.
Scott was miles ahead of the other applicants which doesnt look good for Hardwick.
Bet you we pick up the "'bridesmaid"" :banghead
As I have said in the past , people down at punt rd havent got much idea.

Perhaps Dipper could go and use his mighty brain somewhere else. He can take Tony Shaw with him.

As I was told last night, it was daylight to the next candidate at North.

Of course he was, Hardwick said no, so the next candidate was Crocker

Not only that, but its the only thing anyone who was involved in the hiring process at North was going to say

Just when you think you have read the most moronic article possible - up pops a new contender.

"Personally, I think it's a waste of a word and a waste of time going through a long process."

Even when your club and current reigning premier did just that to select a nobody who proved to be a hidden somebody.  Moron.

"I've spoken to some of the six, seven, eight or nine coaches who have been interviewed by the club.  A few of them understand that they've got no hope of getting the senior coaching job, but are caught up in the 'process'."

Even though there are only 4 left and 1 of those is internal to the club and the current caretaker, and only 1 of the remaining 3 was a contender at another club, and he wasn't selected by the other club.  Moron.

"Collingwood did, Sydney did and they're both better off for it."

How on earth does he know if they are better off for it.  What if Buckley and Longmire turn out to be flops and that could have been identified by those clubs going through a selection process?  Moron.

"It's time Richmond joined that club."

I think it's time he shut his fool mouth.  Moron

Dipper should have played rugby league - a game for strong, brave, unintelligent no-necks.  He is a Neanderthal of the highest order.

How so?  Scott never made it to our second round of interviews and the other 2 appointees were never interviewed at all.  Maybe Scott wasn't what we were after.  And maybe Hardwick isn't quite that either.  Thank God we have a process to sort all that out hey?

As I have said in the past , people down at punt rd havent got much idea.

JJ you are becoming quite tiresome with your boring angst toward all things Richmond.

You are up and down like a brides nightie at the minute.

Two days ago you posted that you reckon "Hinkley will get the job" today you say "I bet we pick up the bridesmaid"

Give it a spell mate, you are really starting to look like a tool to those that know you...you are embarassing yourself.

We are all frustrated Tiger supporters that want success but to constantly get on here and ridicule every move by the Tigers is really really emabarassing.

Either support the Tigers all the way or shut the f*&k up.
