Roos ruckman Tristan Xerri's proposed move to St Kilda is all but dead.

GWS has rejected Essendon's latest future second round pick offer for Bobby Hill.

GWS offered pick 13 for Luke Breust. Hawthorn willing to do it but Breust said no to moving.

"He is adamant that Bobby Hill is not wanting to go back to GWS, even if a deal is not struck."

- Cal Twomey reporting on Andrew McDougall's comments (Bobby Hill's manager)

https://twitter.com/traderadio/status/1448174505428324352

Chad Wingard and Luke Breust saying no GWS makes it so hard for GWS to say yes to contracted fwd Bobby Hill's trade request. Toby Greene missing a big chunk of the season too. Essendon's future 2nd rejected by the Giants & the deal won't get any better than that. Hill in limbo.

https://twitter.com/Sammy__Edmund/status/1448174926435786755

St Kilda's improved offer for Tristan Xerri featured a future third-rounder and a swap of later picks. North Melbourne adamant a future second-round selection must be involved, or no deal. Talks still ongoing.

https://twitter.com/RileyBev/status/1448163770488930315

Sydney open to sliding its pick No.12 to 16 in a trade for Peter Ladhams, but Port Adelaide wants more - either a pick in the 30s or a future second. Both clubs talking, but a deal is progressing slowly.

Two trades quickly in a row  ....... I don't think we've had one of these before!   - Sir Arnold.

“Jordan Clark is a Docker. They have given over 22, with a future third (tied to Carlton), but they will get a pick back.”

The media must feel like muppets talking up Darcy Fort & other no names. They'd be embarrassed

As they are themselves muppets, I’m sure they will be more than comfortable
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Not to be negative, but all hype a few years ago we use pick 20 for CCJ, develop him, now he goes to NM, for a packet of chips.

All that work, all he wants to do is play footy and because we give him no meaningful game time we lose him.

Now we are postulating how we will use our picks.

We need to have a better system to integrate players into the firsts.

Foxfooty.com.au breaks down each club’s deals from the trade period that was.

RICHMOND

- GOT end-of-second-round compensation pick (currently No.38)
- GAVE AWAY Mabior Chol as unrestricted free agent

- GOT Robbie Tarrant, third-round pick (currently No.40) and future second-round selection
- GAVE AWAY Callum Coleman-Jones, two third-round picks (currently No.42 and 47) and future fourth-round selection

Summary: Losing Callum Coleman-Jones and Mabior Chol is a blow for Richmond - one could’ve been OK but both of them going out the door hurts. What it has done though is bolster the Tigers’ draft hand even further - they’re a force to be reckoned with come draft night and will likely look to package picks up to move further up the order. Robbie Tarrant coming into the side suggests Damien Hardwick thinks there’s at least one more flag crack in the side.
