Massive risk not playing him.  Hope it doesn't back fire.
It has. Second time this year the match committee has rested a player in the wrong game and it's backfired. First was playing Jack against Collingwood and not the Dogs (lost both). Now Prestia - played against Melbourne and not the Suns = lost both games again  :banghead.

MT, we would have lost with 5 Prestias out there yesterday.

Agree. Took a chance shouldn't have and paid the price.

“He is a pretty special player, Dion, and he played really hurt at the start of the year, and he put his hand up to play,” said Hardwick.

“We didn’t really have a lot of other magnets to promote opportunity, so for him to come back, have a rest and rejig, I thought was pretty important today. For him to hit the scoreboard when it mattered, it sort of broke the game open from there.”

I was shocked he kicked one at all, he's often a bit ordinary in front of goal.

Kicking 3 I was laughing myself silly.

Playing in a unique half forward/midfield role, Prestia did maximum damage during the Tigers surge that was ultimately the difference between the two sides.

“It was this man who did the damage,” triple-premiership Lion Jonathan Brown said of Prestia on Fox Footy.

“He’s been playing 60 per cent time as a forward, but it’s essentially an extra forward.

“He’s a half forward that’s coming up to the stoppage.”

Browny he had a purple patch in one quarter. If he has been playing 60% forward for most of the year then his goal yield for those other games is exactly Zero !!!!!! that has been a huge success not.

Fmd morons like Brown no jounalistic skills whatever. but hey he was a good footballer who a lot of the time shows he has nfi despite having played  the game real well.

Prestia's full interview on SEN with Andrew Gaze and Andy Maher:

LISTEN: https://megaphone.link/NTETP2501865681

---------------------------------------------------------------

PRESTIA: My good mate Steven May is also playing his 200th game this weekend so I'm pretty excited for us both

PRESTIA: Injuries are a part of the game but I have probably spent more time in the rehab group than most. I feel like it's shaped me and if you are going to play for a long time in the AFL this is going to happen. I had a few niggles earlier this season but feeling good now

PRESTIA: When you sit down with your line coaches we talk about having more scoreboard impact. It's not necessarily about kicking goals but score involvements. I had 13 on the weekend which I think is the most I have had in my career

PRESTIA: I wouldn't know much about spoiling. Don't think I have had one in my career! I don't think the incident with Jacob Van Rooyen will change the game too much. Other rules such as slide rule have had far more impact
