When is Dusty out of contract?
$1.2m per season should get us a premium free agent or 2.

Has something wrong.

I think it’s his feet. Can’t run or kick like he used to. Pretty obvious he clearly has something going on with his body.

Dusty is not the once in a generation player he once was but he's the least of our problems right now.

What’s funny is some posters still blame it on his dad, appendix this and that.

What has he actually done over the last few years? He simply doesn’t give a stuff that’s his biggest contribution to our club now.
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

His disposal is really letting him down.

It was a lacerated kidney not his appendix  ::)

Bit of a difference I would have thought

Anyways...

Agree he is not playing like he did pre 2021 but he like a couple of others is over 30. Father time catching up perhaps?

I'm not sold on this permanent forward thing. The few times he gone to the centre he's looked a helluva lot better.

Also, as permanent forward he is subject to the shocking forward 50 entries that Lynch and Jack have to put up with. Personally I'd rather him driving it in there rather than have him waiting for it to get there

A few short memories I think he was excellent vs the Dogs. We have been told countries times Dusty is the most competitive person at the club. I don't buy into the he's not into anymore. I don't think his body is that old or injured I agree with WP his position as stay at home forward is a crap one. He's playing the Caddy role which unless we are getting lots of inside 50s with decent delivery doesn't have a heap of impact.

I reckon he's not as strong or quick as he used to be, naturally, and was getting caught and tracked a lot more post 2020 so they decided to give him more forward minutes. Game vs the dogs showed he's much better in the middle still.

Needs to be in the middle. Remember 2020 GF when Dangerfield was forward and didn’t touch it at all in the 3rd qtr while dusty carved it up?

No point keeping dusty forward if the ball never gets down there. Also our f50 entries are terrible and outside of him and Dan Rioli it’s always hearts in mouth stuff when I see the other 20 players try and hit up a target

Got a feeling he already knew his body was stuffed and he didn’t have it in him to play at such a high level anymore.

I reckon the club talked him into it with the addition of Hopper and Taranto they thought he could cope as a forward. But I don’t think his body can do it anymore

8th highest rated player on the ground out of 46. Not going that bad.
