But how can the path be walked upon when it hasn't even been built yet?

Not wanting to be argumentative mat, the thing is you would have to be a completely deaf and blind numbskull not to know this already. This thread seems to be an exercise in stating the bleeding obvious and frankly has been done to death over the period of several years.

I don't understand why, in this period of exceptional optimism, we need to revisit a past that we are trying to leave behind.

Tell you what, now that I know what is in this thread I will personally ignore it. I'm am sure some will enjoy this thread as you hope, and it is not up to me to censor the content of this site. I didn't get why this thread was created but that's my problem.

OER is a great site and it is terrific that you like it. One of the things OER has that perhaps other sites do not have is a robust sharing of opinions. Please do not take my post as a personal attack, it is not meant to be.

2 finals series to instill real fear in the opposition that the sleeping giant is awakening and it is not a token flash in the pan year like 95 or 01. 

3 finals series that would include 2 top 4 finishes and possibly a grand final.

if by 5 finals series in succession we have won a flag or flags you'll find the prvious 26 years of abject mediocrity will be consigned to history and we will be forging a new history.

As for us Richmond fans. We all know we are the best and we support the best club in the league with the best theme song so any success that has some sort of longevity will make us even more parochial.
