What do you lot think?

Yeah can't see him leaving either but gee we could use him down back, maybe the Dogs would take Schulz, JON and Patto for him.... :whistle ::)

Trade for draft picks, not players imo. We have been burnt too much in the past trading for players!

Brian Lake will be 28 next year...I think he is a good player but not sure we can go down that path.

May as well close this thread - no way, no how the Doggies will be waving bye bye to Lake.

Well we should just drop a line to his management and mention we could be interested if he fancies a change. No way we would trade for him but if he hit the PSD we would have a look.

Our backline is poor IMO and in desperate need of leadership. Moore is the most senior and has enough trouble beating his opponent. We might actually have a little bit of trouble meeting minimum payments with Cogs, Brown and possibly Simmonds and McMahon going so money prob not be a problem.

I think it has been said that we should develop our own young ones rather than chase an older player.
So its a no from me on Lake. But if it comes about so be it. I will no whinge about it.

If the Dogs didn't want him would take him, but what they would want if they reluctantly let him go at 28 years of age and what we are trying to achieve - um nup .....

It wouldn't surprise me if he left as they have no room in the cap to pay him, even more of an issue if Aker stays on next year
I still don't think he's the right fit for us as he'll be retired before we're any good, we need to develop our own

It would be nice to have more to develop, maybe he could do 3 years with us helping the others like Rance, McGuane, Thursty and Moore to develop further.
