Terry Wallace's expert advice
« on: September 02, 2009, 11:32:31 AM »
Here's a funny read, Terry Wallace the "expert" on a teams weaknesses

http://www.sportsentral.com/pro/main/storyreader.aspx?sid=16562&sr=all
Wallace stands by call 02-09-2009 10:23 AM By Jacqui Reed SEN | EXCLUSIVE: Terry Wallace is standing by his criticisms of Carlton's midfield, and their inability to switch from offensive to defensive plays.

Terry Wallace is standing by his criticisms of Carlton's midfield, and their ability to switch from offensive to defensive plays.
Yesterday, Carlton coach Brett Ratten furiously denied there was a problem with his midfield pressure, and suggested Wallace's comments were about one game in isolation.

But today, Wallace told KB his analysis of the Blues was made after watching them for the entire season, and he believes it is a flaw in the side.

In particular, Wallace was targeting Marc Murphy, Heath Scotland, Nick Stevens and Chris Judd, and their defensive pressure once the ball was in the opposition's hands.

I honestly wish Terry Wallace would just shrivel up and blow away like dandelion spores. First up,no matter how much we distance ourselves from him as an ex-coach,all these comments are going to do are invite a lot of counter attacks from Carlton that this description sounds more like his old club's midfield. Even worse, he's just providing them with a spur to come out on the weekend and make him eat his words, when all I want is for Brisbane to end their brief taste of finals action.

Just like Cuz has been tagged as "Reformed Drug Addict" hopefully TW can be tagged as "Failed Coach" or F.C. which quiet handily stands for something else.

Do we blame Rawlings as well, he did have the chance of half the season to win every game but we still lost........ The players are not up to it, blame them!!

yes the players aren't up to it your right there, so its his fault because he helped in recruiting them. Simple as that..

Besides Fev raised a great point and said the tanned one is far from an expert because he allowed such acts of selfishness such as lack of tackling, to rot the club for 4 and a half years.

he looks like more of a fool when he makes comments about clubs that are playing in the finals when we sit at the bottom again.

stuffin loser i wish he would just stuff off and sit in a solarium for the rest of his life.

he has screwed us over so bad that prick, sent us back 4 years.

Who recruited most of those players? The Wallace and Miller regime.
And those that weren't recruited some had contract extensions when they didn't deserve them. Why? Wallace and Miller regime.

Right now there are at least 26-30 players on our list bar Richo and Cuz who will retire in the next few years that should not be on our list in 3 years time. Whose fault is that? Wallace and Miller regime.
Rawlings could not win a game of marbles with a poor list or a good list. Move on.
The right man is in the job now.
Wallace just needs to keep his opinions to himself. He has no credibility. Rather than have our passionate and somewhat stupid fans ring up SEN or MMM to grill Danny, just ignore them and hopefully it will
a) Prevent the others on the panels of these shows to defend their stupidity.
b) Make us seem like we are not footy savvy and these blokes were just unlucky
c) Try to present these men as figures of public empathy for the rabied passion the fans have which borders on manic despite their football illiteracy.

Are you kidding me, there were more than two recruiters during their "Reign", and did they have much backing in the way of support staff to actually scout these players we have now, no they didn't. Hardwick will be going into a role with a lot more staff than past coaches, you may want to think about that before we blame them last 100 years on two people.

Yes they had their faults but by God they were not alone!!!!

WAT we are not putting blame on the last 100 years on two people..........

Just the last 5 on Terry and Miller. The proof has been in the pudding. Since 2006 all sides have made the finals bar us. Our last finals was in 2001.

Just a few points on these two morons.

When Terry arrived he promised an average of 16 goals a game.
Miller in 2003 said pain for 4 years we'll be finals ready in 2007.
Wallace prior to 2007 claimed we would be ready by 2011.
Kingsley Graham JON.
Virtual waste of 3 picks inside the top 20 of draft 2004.
JON pick 8 in 2005 now at Richmond Centrelink.
A game plan that we can't understand let alone the squad themselves.
A team bereft of skill and work ethic.
He is the one who emmployed his staff and brought them across.
Royal King have not done much to help us. Probably cos they are not that bright but Wallace employed them.
How many errors has this guy made and hw much more can people defend him.
I will say now Wallace proclaimed that when he came to RFC the club was a train wreck well my friend right now RFC is Banda Aceh after the 2004 tsunami and we thought the train wreck was awful. Sobering thought to say the least.

WA who said anything about the last 100 years its about now and our list is a direct result of the tanned one.

Was wallace alone?? no of course not thats why Miller and even Jackson have to share the blame because they are the ones who helped bring these duds to our club.

you dont need support staff to go and actually watch someone play before you select them e.g (JON)

you dont need support staff to know that McMahon, Schulz, Kingsley, Knobel, P Bowden, to name just a few, are poo.

face facts WA he screwed us over big time

He thought of himself and it was for all to see in his final game coaching for us. He wanted to coach against his old team instead of bowing out.

For 5 years he was constantly referring to the past in spud but as soon as was given a chance and was sacked he come out and bagged the poo out of us.

he was a pathetic coach, possibly the worst we have, and if it werent for SEN he would be left to get a tan by himself with no job at all.

He should just bow out and be graceful in his demise as coach instead of trying to justify his place in the game by talking crap about a club in the finals and at the same time bringing our clubs name up in the public forum
