Tom Hawkins

Celebrated his coming of age with premiership success at both ends of the season. The Cats showed faith in the big, strapping forward and he rewarded them with 34 goals in 24 games. Kicked two important goals in the preliminary final against Collingwood and nailed a difficult shot in the final quarter of the Grand Final to kick-start Geelong’s bid to overhaul St Kilda. Took 31 contested marks – second only to Cameron Mooney’s 37 at Geelong – and has so much upside as he enters his fourth season at AFL level.

Could we get him next year if Geelong wants pick two and such?

Just signed a two year contract this last week. Realistically can't see anything like that hapenning TTID.

Not sure we would wan't him would we?? I am not really sure he has proved himself as a power forward. Very hot and cold and I don't think he would leave the Cats and they wouldn't want him gone.

Not only that Jack is coming along nicely and Astbury is showing some great signs too. Add Griffiths and you have a great three pronged attack of talls. Would give up too much to attain him. Not worth it. I'd still punt on the draft.

I couldnt see geelong letting hawkings go. I could see them trading blake and turning tom into a 2nd ruckman as more of a possibility

After they traded Mumford and the injury proneness of Ottens despite his importance in big games I cannot see Blake going anywhere either.

I'd agree that it was harsh if this was a rare occurance, but almost every one of his posts is garbage.

You wouldn't touch Hawkins until you could find out how serious or not is this hot spot in his foot. Ch 10 news were comparing it to Matthew Egan who never played again.
