Tigers vs Saints - "home" game @ Etihad
« on: May 31, 2010, 07:26:43 PM »
Thanks to the AFL for once again making us play our home game away at the Saints home ground  :scream. I think we may need someone to turn the roof sprinkers on while we're playing on Friday night ;D.

We really need to back up our win against Port with a really good showing in this game. I am not saying we must or should win but we really need to show that same spirit that we did against Port.

Anything lesss will be a real let down IMHO.

Tend to agree

I don't think we will win but I see it as absolutly crucial that are competitive

My biggest concern isn't the fact we are playing the Saints but the fact it's Friday night Footy. And we tend to get stage fright, the deer gets stunned by the headlights etc  ;D

We don't get too many opportunities these days (rightly with our recent on field results) to be on Friday night so we need to make the most of it. It is important for so many different reasons but the especially from a sponsorship angle

Wasn't this the game that we had swapped to the 'G', then it was swapped back because the cat was let out of the bag early re: the draw??

Not going to this game.

Reason same as any other year.
l dont support playing home games at other venues.  :banghead

Its really a home game for St-Kilda. We take the gate while they get the onfield advantage.
We should be playing a interstate club there but l would still not attend because l been wanting the club for years to stand up to the AFL on this issue.  :banghead

Last year or year before we played the Dogs twice in the one year at their venue. It's an absolute disgrace.

Same as Richmond vs Melbourne at the Dome.
Most teams dont like playing at the dome but they are contracted to play there every year & can't get out of it.

Zac Dawson is unlikely to play for the Saints.

Last year. And IIRC we nearly played a home game against them at Darklands this year as well, butit was changed.

Strongly agree with the remarks about Telstra dome. Not a home game. Should be at MCG. Sick to death of playing home games at the Dome. Also strongly agree need to back up performance aginst Port. Need to be competitive against Saints. Like the comments about the sprinkler too.

Yep the Bulldogs games was moved the MCG and that resulted in the Saints game being at Docklands
