Great pics tiga  :thumbsup  :cheers

In the one with Astbury on the ground and the doc and trainers around him - is there a dodgy section of SCG turf behind them?

MT, Astbury's injury happened in the pocket where they bring the tractors in and out so yes there was some dodgy turf behind Astbury but its not too bad on the part where he hit the deck but I guess it is possible that the turf was unsteady under his foot. From what I can tell, the injury may have occurred from the front on tackle by McGlynn where both their knees connected but Astbury took the impact on the side of the knee whereas McGlynns was front on.

Here are some frame grabs of the injury in sequence. I was at the other end of the field so they are not the greatest but they should give you some idea of what happened.

Great pics tiga  :thumbsup. Working for ASIO I see  ;D.

You're right the injury was most likely due to McGlynn's body weight on the side of Astbury's knee. I still have bad memories of the SCG causing Richo's ACL  :(.
