What happened?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Was on just after 7.30am

said what we had already heard - extremely disappointing, it was a terrible day, players dont'  prepare to go out there to play like that, acknowledge fans are disappointed angry ....

Got say I stopped listening because I'd heard it already

Was asked about selling home games - said if we didn't then the games would be played at Etihad and our fans don't want to go there so we'd end up paying Collo, we cannot afford to do that so with the money we get selling and where we are at right now we have to do it (heard it all before). Said our goal and what we want is to play all our home games at the MCG but that wasn't going to happen but we will keep pushing for it.

It is one of the things the FTF is about get us in a position that we dont' need to sell home games..

Maher & Timmy seemed more interested in ask benny about the AFLPA & the new CBA - which I wasn't interested in

Didn't ask him enough hard questions IMHO

A nothing interview to be honest

Yes so I don't reckon using that game as example is the right one

If we are winning games we won't need Etihad as a venue for home games we'll be playing Naught Melbourne Western Bullmongrels and the Nick Riewoldt crybaby dancers there as away games and filling up their coffers.
Furthermore we won't need Darwin Cairns or any other interstate venue.
In the 70's we were the first team to break the 1 million fans through the tournsteils barrier in a VFL season.
We'll be breaking all sorts of records at the G. Provided we win our games and make regular finals. After Saturday that's still a big if.

'Stinker'
By Mark Macgugan
6:00 PM Mon 04 Jul, 2011

RICHMOND CEO Brendon Gale has described Saturday's 103-point thumping at the hands of Carlton as a "train wreck" and a "stinker", but says supporters need to keep the long-term in mind.

Compounding the loss, the Tigers wore a special jumper sporting the names of donors to their 'Fighting Tiger Fund' on Saturday, and president Gary March assured fans before the clash that the club would win its next premiership under his administration.

Speaking on radio SEN 1116 on Monday morning, Gale admitted it had been a day to forget.

"It was a stinker, there's no doubt about that, and all those other things taken into account made it worse," the Richmond chief executive said.

"I can understand why the people who have contributed so generously (to the Fighting Tiger Fund) would be disappointed with the weekend's performance, but we just can't get caught up in short-term results."

Gale said the club's goal of reaching three finals series in the next five years was still realistic.

"Yes, it was a significant disappointment on the day; it was a train wreck, let's be honest," Gale said.

"But we're on the right trajectory as a football club …

"We've said we want to put ourselves in a position to play in three finals series in five years, and I think when we said that, it was going to be a stretch.

"But I'm still confident that we can do that."

Gale, who played 244 games for the Tigers, challenged Richmond's players to show they have the character needed to continue the club's climb up the AFL ladder over the remainder of the season.

"We said in the first two years we're going to find out which players are going to take us forward as a footy club," Gale said.

"There's been a transformation to our list, and we're going to find out a whole lot more in the next few weeks."

Those teams can't attracted enough patrons to make the 'G' a profitable venue
