Nathan Foley=Trade Bait

Contrary to popular belief, Nathan Foley is the turnover king.
Not only that but he manages to do so at a 100% damage rate.
Yes, he runs and goes the in and under but I'm sick and tired of a guy with so much ball getting ability killing us with his disposal.
Be needs to be shopped as he could be a better player on a more balanced list.
IMO he's no longer a part of our future and is more valuable in terms of what we can get for him.
He has value and would be a great acquisition for a top 4 team.

Jury is still out for mine, He is only a dozen game's back from nearly two years on the sidelines. He is still miles down on pace witch was his major strength if he can find that again he will still be an asset to the side but without it I would have to say I agree. I'm not sure what his trade currency would be worth but as you said a top 4 side could be tempted to pay over the odd's who knows?

I don't reckon you can trade Foley and Jackson and I would prefer to trade Jackson at this point.

I know dimmer-) loves him, WP.
It's still doesn't justify his worth onfield vs his worth at trade time.
For as long as I can remember he's let us down time and time again with his crappy dishing off of the ball to a team met under the pump or alternatively ,straight to an opposition player.
It's part of his DNA and I'm over it.

Jacksons trade value would be far less appealing.

I love Foley, I don't see it when people say his disposal is poor. Might not have the most penetrating kick but more often then not weights his kicks well and is clean with his disposal. His pace is very good and his outside game is as good as ever. My problem is his inside game. At his best he was a beast in the clearances, the fact that we are one of the poorest teams in the comp in this area rests on his shoulders more then anyone else. Cotchin is still a baby and is shouldering the load, not one other player is pulling his weight in this area.

I would be looking at trading him for a ruckman such as H.McIntosh. Pains me to say it but you have to trade quality to attract quality. Everyone saying Edwards or McGuane plus a draft pick are crazy. Clubs aren't stupid. If we can bring a ruckman in then we can use an early pick on another midfielder. Our backs in my opinion are still babies and Rance and Grimes along with Astbury give me faith.

What a load of crap! A former All Australian who's form isn't that bad ATM, another full pre season under his belt and he would slip straight into the midfield of any club. He has currency it just depends on who we want in return......

Cannot bear to watch it. To highlight one incident is a little unfair on him. Overall I normally rest easy when its Foley with the ball in his hands. More so then I do with Martin or some other players who are "great users" of the pill. Jackson on the other hand

there are more but I picked that one because it is relatviely early in the game, first 15 minutes, so if you were game to watch you only have to sit through 15 minutes, I am not completely heartless
