I went to the GWS v Swans game and thought it was a pretty good game considering the conditions. Lucky the players went off the ground at quarter time as Lightning hit the roof of the stand above me with debris from the roof floating down onto the ground.
It absolutely bucketed down for about half an hour. The drainage on the ground was first rate with most of the surface water gone within 20 minutes. Was even able to do kick to kick at the end of the game with my son. Touching the grass you would not have known it had been raining so heavily.
After seeing how we played against GC and how GWS out-enthused and out-muscled the Swans, for the first time I am worried about playing the Giants.
