Looks like it will be as memorable as last year's Grand Final as well  :boredom. Hawks pumping Freo 77-20 at half-time.

Dockers need to lock it down and play some of their best ugliest rugby scrum football

It's harder to shut down sides on the wide expanses of the 'G. One of Lyon coached sides' weaknesses which is why he's failed so far to win on the big day. The other is having to chase games if you jump them at the start on the scoreboard. They are so use to locking games down into a low-scoring scrap, they aren't drilled in opening games up when they are trailing by a decent margin and need to score quickly against the better sides.

The Hawks on the other hand are clearly the ones to chase this year. The only question mark is can they keep this form up all year as they are flying right now. There's been a number of reigning premiers who have flown out of the blocks the following year trying to avoid a premiership hangover, only to fall short in the second half of the season either becuase they peaked too soon or injuries hit. Carlton of 1996 comes to mind.

They'll probably manage to keep up their intensity as blokes like Sewell, Stratton and co are eased back into the side over the year. I enjoy watching the Hawks. Good brand of attacking footy without any tempo or zone crap. Just get the ball moving by hand, foot or run it. So much class from their second tiers. Who needs a Buddy or an Ablett when you've got a team of Breusts, Hills and Gibsons. Roughead, Mitchell and Hodge are just the icing.

The more floggings Hawthorn give Fremantle the more likely 16 other coaches copy attacking football rather than defensive. Keep it up Hawks.  :clapping

Yep, and you just need to look at the amount of second tier players Sydney have lost by bringing in high profile "big fish". This is exactly what Hardwick was talking about when he said that experience from other comps in the world that have salary caps and free agency showed that if you bring in a big name player you will loose a number of these second tier players.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Why when we lose aren't we as good as the teams that win in that round?

Cats just know how to win. It is in their psyche.
We are poles apart compared to them.

Boomer Harvey got two last quarter goals playing on Greg White as the Kangas ran over the top of Port.
