Geelong deserved that for wearing that jumper.
Sydney's was just as bad. Only reason it was OK'd was it was designed by the mum of an Australian of the Year.

Sydney's at least had some kind of uniform theme to it.....Geelong's just looked like random leftover crap from a primary school arts & craft class randomly thrown on top of their regular jumper without any real thought.

Just saw Ch 7 show Waite's last quarter brainfade off the ball gifting Brisbane 50m and the lead :stupid and then Yarran misses on the run from 35 with Henderson alone in the goalsquare  :wallywink. Blues 16 pts up on the bottom side with 15 mins to go and they get rolled  :rollin. Classic comedy capers Carlton   :lol.

Our only hope is North is stuffed coming back from Perth. Even that is a little hollow as it's more about them having issues the week after a Perth trip as many others have had this year rather than about us being clinical and winning a game of footy based on merit.

Carlton  :lol.

Bloody Selwood gets in the right place again to win the Cats the game despite being held well all night.

Captain's goal. Won the clearance, broke the line and kicked the winner. Would love a captain to stand up in clutch moments like that.

It helps when his direct opponent is McLean who wasn't goalside and the opposition fail to have a defensive sweeper to fill the space goalside of the stoppage. Carlton's defending in that last 5-10 mins was very Richmond-like  :-\. The lack of basic footy smarts such as automatically getting numbers behind the ball late in a game when you have a narrow lead is something that we've done repeatedly which has cost us close games.

Also helps when you've played virtually your whole career in a Premiership side surrounded by guns, leaders & quality coaches and have barely missed a full pre-season.

Who's Cotchin's had to learn from and/or play with? Who's been his Bomber, Balme, Hinkley, Sanderson, Ling, Harley, Chapman, Bartell, Enright, Johnson, Corey, Milburn, Scarlett & Ablett? Poor bastard grew up barracking for Geelong too.

ffs he finished his first year chairing stuffing Tivendale off the ground....his first assistant coaches were Royal & Rawlings, he's had Wayne Campbell as his midfield coach...been on a hiding to nothing from day one. Bloody credit to him that he's still been as good as he has.

That's the problem....we've been poohouse for so long none our players have any decent or recent role models.

does this excuse apply to anyone else or just cotchin?

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

You mean the reasons as to why, as captain, he doesn't stand up and win as many games single-handedly as Joel Selwood does?

Yes.
