Most of you will not really know why I put up this thread in here but it is entirely relevant to us the Richmond Football Club.
Before Brendon Rogers became Manager of Liverpool he had a short career managing clubs like Watford and Reading. In 2008 he took a job coaching Watford and then in 2009 he went to manage his former club Reading. After 6 months at Reading his tenure ended and it ended because of disappointing results. Afterwards he want to Swansea to coach where he won promotion to the Premier League but it is the period at Watford and Reading that is of most interest because Rodgers himself said that this was the period that changed his philosophy on how to coach.
He admitted himself that during the times when he was relatively unsuccessful (ie. the teams he was coaching) he was lenient on poor performance in that he had a group of players that he wanted to believe in but he game them game after game to try and come good, on his own admission the tenure given to players was 12 games or longer. The change in his philosophy came about when he himself reflected on how he would manage players in the future.
Rodgers today says that Players dont have anymore than 6 games to show him that they can do the job he wants to do. Rodgers has gone from poor results at Reading to now being on the verge of winning the English Premier League with Liverpool
So why the stuff do we at Richmond have to put up with crap performances from the same individuals week after week, month after month and year after year. Get rid of em. They are crap. Rodgers is 100% right if a player cant do a job he should be out. Hardwick needs to get a dose of reality and cut the leniency to his favorites who are letting the team down. Drop em, Hardwick most of your favorites are complete poo!
